Ristorante Isoletta — Restaurant in Frankfurt

I understand it is a busy place but when the waiter was drawn away to another table because his colleague messed up while taking our order and didn't return leaving us with the menus I was a bit confused. So ten minutes after I asked if they received the order which they had (they must have read my mind not wanting deserts). I enquired about the water with ice. In the meantime four people left because they had been waiting for well over an hour. 40 minutes after ordering my boyfriend got his water (no ice, they ran out), I didn't. Food arrived almost an hour after ordering and asking four times where it was. My pinsa was indeed very tasty but the spaghetti my boyfriend ordered had cold meat in it. When I complained about the bad service I got a "I am only human" and the waiter kept talking over me not allowing me to explain what it was that bothered me as he clearly didn't care. Because he was so loud and unapologetic, more guests walked out. He said in a sulky way we don't need to pay which wasn't the point was trying to make. I’m solo travelling in Frankfurt, wanted to go somewhere nice so decided to pick an Italian. I walked by this place previously and decided to try it out. Was going to just planning to get a main course and a glass of wine. Once I walked in one of the waiters scolded and turned his back to me. I just stood there just waiting, he turned and said ‘WHAT’ in German. I asked for a table for one. He replied with a firm NO. When I asked why he said they were fully booked! yet I could see many free tables and there was another group of women on the street before me that looked at the menu and then walked in. They didn’t have a booking. It was also a Monday night, I was dressed well in jeans and beige jacket. The response I got from the staff was pure ignorance notting less. They looks me up and down and demanded me to leave. I was only in Frankfurt for the Ambiente trade show. AVOID this place if your travelling solo, I don’t care if their food is good. Top top You never know what you get in a Italian restaurant but here in Isoletta’s was a excellent experience, a Nice waiter named Luigi which tucked our order very kind he suggested something nice. We started with a beautiful antipasti Vitello tonnato which was made by Angela’s Antipasti chef 👩‍🍳 And for the main meal we had a beautiful pasta which was paccheri with Mixed seafood 🦞 Which was made from chef 👨‍🍳 Franco which tested excellent and made us feeling like been on the beach 🏖 in Italy. At the end the waitress Named Beate Which suggests to have a beautiful chocolate soufflé which was also a excellent experience too and the service was also very good i will visit again.
