Croissants are the absolute best! and the coffee here is in THEORY really good. BUT: it really depends on the person who is making it. Sometimes it is the best, sometimes I would rather prefer a starbucks "cappucino". Honestly. Same with the batch brew. I know it is hard to find good baristas, but please invest more time in training and quality control. It is really a shame having soo good coffee beans, but then ruining it with the preparation. And if you say something you get an "attitude" from the barista.

Freiburgs best specialty coffee café by far! Café Marcel lives and celebrates specialty coffee. Besides their already good house bean, they offer a guest bean allowing you to explore the world of coffee. Nice and friendly staff, perfect service, excellent location right in Freiburgs Stadtgarten in the heart of the city and a great spot to relax and spend some time in the green park sums this lovely café up to a place to be. The coffee is excellent, and the pastries are also really really good (I have to give it 3 starts because of how overpriced they are for their size). I have no problem paying what they ask for a WAY bigger Cookie, but 3.50€ for the size they offer is outrageous.
