Five Guys Hamburgers & Fries — Restaurant in Freiburg im Breisgau

Every time I order fries via delivery, the employees take advantage of this (not being able to complain and send the portion back) and send half empty cups and no extras. I know the extras are included in the price, and they are instructed to provide a generous extra to the portion, since the fries cost 10 euros. Why would anyone pay 10 euros for a portion of fries otherwise??? 5 Guys, get it together, set up reasonable prices for the fries and send the customer exactly what they’ve paid for, instead of charging an insane amount for a portion of fries on the assumption ‘you’ll give them double the portion size’ and letting your employees eat the ‘rest’ that’s supposed to be baked into the price. Great burgers, even better fries! The staff working there have always been great and the atmosphere is nice. The menu is limited but very customisable - you can order your burger with whichever toppings you like and include whatever combination of flavours if ordering a milkshake. The fries are well seasoned and crispy. Burgers are made to order so it does take a little longer but definitely worth the wait. The drink fountain has a good selection to choose from and the place is nice enough to visit with friends for a quick bite. Ich war bisher zwei Mal dort, das Essen als solches war sehr gut, was mich allerdings sehr verwirrt hat, war was ich bestellt und bezahlt habe und was ich dann tatsächlich dafür erhalten habe.

Erste Bestellung: Bacon Cheeseburger, All the Way, mit Extra Jalapenos. Mittlere Fries und eine 0.5er Getränk. Laut App sollte das 22.75€ kosten. Bezahlt im Laden: 23.05$

Erhalten habe ich einen ziemlich kleinen Burger mit einem Pattie und eine recht große Portion Fries.

Zweite Bestellung: Bacon Cheeseburger, All the Way, ohne Pilze, mit Extra Jalapenos. Kleine Fries und eine 0.5er Getränk. Betrag laut App: 20.50€ Im Laden Bezahlt: 20.75€ Bekommen habe ich einen großen Burger, mit zwei Parties und eine Portion Fries die identisch zur ersten Bestellung war.

Ich geh davon aus, beim ersten Mal einen Junior Burger bekommen zu haben, da ich zum erste mal dort war und auch die App noch nicht kannte, ist mir das aber nicht aufgefallen, hatte ja keine Referenz.

Beim Zweiten Besuch hat der Burger dann wohl gestimmt. Deutlich größer und mit zwei Patties drauf. Bei den Fries weis ich allerdings immer noch nicht so wirklich ob ich beides Mal eine Mittlere Portion bekommen habe oder wie sich die Größen voneinander Unterscheiden.

Das sich die Preise im Laden und der App, wenn auch nur um ein paar Cent, unterscheiden, ist immer noch Rätselhaft. Ggf anderer MwSt Satz? Man weiß es nicht und das Person ist da auch wenig Hilfreich.

Bei über 20€ für Burger, Fries und Getränk ist das allerdings durchaus etwas unglücklich. Kontrolliert also eure Bestellungen!

Das Ambiente ist in Ordnung, allerdings ist der gesamte Laden von einem Ölfilm überzogen und man stinkt, nach seinem Besuch dort, sehr stark nach Küche. Also entweder Essen abholen und draußen Warten bis es fertig ist oder nach dem Besuch nichts mehr vor haben und direkt unter die Dusche und Klamotten verbrennen.

Die Burger sind wirklich gut und die Fries überragend. Wen die Filiale in Freiburg es noch hin bekommt, Bestellungen ordentlich abzuarbeiten, ein bisschen öfter die Tische entölt und die Lüftung bzw Abzüge so eingestellt bekommt dass man seine Klamotten danach nicht verbrennen und sich selbst mit Kernseife abduschen möchte, wäre das ganze eine runde Sache, trotz der hohen Preise.
