We were a group of seven friends out for dinner and decided to go all in on the starters — a generous selection to share among the table. The burrata was creamy and delicious, as were the various cheeses, but the real standout was the Parma ham and the thinly sliced cold roast — a true flavor bomb that had everyone reaching for seconds. For the main course, the ladies were all more than happy with their pasta dishes, while my beef tenderloin arrived exactly as ordered — medium rare, perfectly seasoned, and of excellent quality. My friend’s Tomahawk steak (not pictured, unfortunately) also earned high praise, though at nearly €150, it was the one dish where we felt the pricing might have overshot the mark just a touch. Everything else hit the value-for-money sweet spot — from the excellent Negronis to kick off the evening to the selection of open wines like Pinot Grigio and Merlot, which were both fairly priced and nicely curated. Atmosphere? Spot on. Warm, lively, and stylish without trying too hard. The service was absolutely top-tier — even the slight delay in getting our mains was handled with grace and clear communication. Plus, in good company, time tends to fly. We’d definitely come back — this spot gets a clear and confident recommendation from us.

Incredible restaurant for authentic and delicious Italian food in the heart of Freiburg! Make sure to reserve or come early as this place seems to be very popular. Our waitress explained the menu very well to us in English and attended us well. It was astounding to see the whole place run by essentially 4 people - they do an incredible job, but do expect the service to be a little slower. The quality of the food is worth it as it is always served fresh with great quality ingredients. We ordered an antipasti and some sort of ravioli dish served with asparagus (we forgot the names as they are written in Italian and the menu changes daily). We could see the meats being freshly sliced in the back, and they were delicous! The cheeses were also great. The ravioli was made from fresh pasta made in house and stuffed with a filling that was heaven! The portions are very big here so keep that in mind when ordering. This is a very popular and lively place so be prepared for it to be crowded and loud.

Cozy Italian restaurant that feels like hanging out at a friend’s place. The special menu was written in Italian, hanging on the wall. However, the waitress was ready to help us translate and choose a good meal. We also used ChatGPT to translate from a picture. As 3 people, we shared 2 pastas and a burrata that came with a small bread basket (not in the picture). One pasta that we wanted was sold out, but the waitress offered us another similar one. The food was really delicious, made of fresh, good-quality ingredients. The portions were reasonably sized. My favourite was the truffle pasta — absolutely great. For drinks, we just had water that cost us about 7-8€ for a bottle. In total, we paid 90€ for 3 ppl which was in my opinion a good price for the quality but certainly not cheap. If I lived nearby, I’d definitely go there again on some special occasions.

Italienische Hausmannskost zu sehr ambitionierten Preisen -

Kurzfazit:
