Worst experience I had. Usually I don't write bad experience to indian restaurants but this time it was painful. We came here first time by reading reviews, we thought it will be pleasant and nice experience. But it was not the case. Since we were new to city and place, my wife asked for better parking place, the owner was not even ready to answer and said 'find it on google' and started ignoring her. Eventually google help me to find better place, thanks google for being kind. We ordered food and requested to have Dal with no spices for my daughter but again cooperation was not good. Eventually we accept what they delivered. My daughter didn't eat it. In general food was Ok, I feel overrated on Google reviews. I don't find nothing special. After finishing food, he just asked card or cash and left machine on table, thats it. No words. I feel like, he doesn't like Indian persons in his restaurant. While leaving table we saw other Indian family entering restaurant and he was without welcoming them started arguing why are you sitting here? you are not supposed to sit in restaurant, you have ordered food for take away. Which was in harsh and loud sound. However other Indian family was silently listening and talking with him. I feel very bad when we get such bad experience in Indian restaurant. I am not surprised with bad hospitality but it discourage me to try it out any new Indian restaurant.
If someone is really hungry, having Indian food cravings and no any options available then try it with courage. And expect no morals, bad hospitality. I will never ever recommend this restaurant.
Reply to Jaipur response: Situation you mentioned was not the case. My wife came, greet (Hi) with smile and asked your colleague (not you) in restaurant for parking question then he said, let me call my boss and rest is already written. So your words saying with loud and harsh is just lie. About European Indian restaurant, we know situation very well from many years and we also support with our best. We were two adults with one kid and ordered two separate dishes, what do you expect more? Like I already said, when you see Indian people around your restaurant, you make your own mindset and started behaving on it.
Apart from your restaurant, we also tried other Indian restaurant (taj tandoori) first time in offenburg and it was excellent experience and warm welcome. You can check my...
Read moreFood is ok, but customer service is a little on the poor side. I can understand that they have a busy evening with a lot of orders, but even on their most tiring days, I would expect something better than, "If you ordered via Lieferando, then call them. We have a lot of orders here. How would I know what yours is?" as the very first response to a query about our order and if it was ready yet. I would think that most reasonable people would ask what I had ordered before saying anything else.
Reply to Jaipur response:
I also understand that they have no control over Lieferando orders and deliveries. It was just the way they talked over the phone that surprised me. If they are not interested in taking orders via a third-party app, then don't list themselves there.
The entire conversation is mentioned here for readers:
Me: Ich hatte zuvor über lieferando bestellt. Ist die Bestellung fertig?
Jaipur: .
Me: Wie bitte?
Jaipur: Do you speak English?
Me: Oh, yes, please.
Jaipur: We have no control over Lieferando orders and deliveries. If you have questions, then call them.
Me: All right. Could you please tell me if an order to has been received and is being processed?
Jaipur: We have a lot of orders here. How would I know what yours is?
Me: All right. If I tell you what I ordered, could you check what the status is?
Jaipur: What did you order?
Me: .
Jaipur: That was just picked up by the...
Read moreThis is one of the worst and most unprofessional attitudes towards the customers, I ever had in my life. We went there with friends and the attitude from the front staff was not welcoming at all. Although we RESERVED the seats for 8 people in advance, they first offer a place in the broken dirty tables outside the restaurant in the hot weather whereas there were ample seats were available inside. When we further requested them politely, the person got furious and started arguing with us. This came as shocker for us as went there with lots of hope by seeing the good reviews. Now, I fully believe these are all FAKE reviews. Ultimately we managed to get some place to sit inside but in front of the kitchen where the unbearable heat were coming towards us. They purposefully did that as we asked for a seat inside. We were with the kids and we had come out without having any food as it was extremely uncomfortable to have food. No one even bother to ask the reason why we we were leaving without food, although we didn’t expect that from such unprofessional people.
This is very unfortunate and shameful to call you as INDIAN (restaurant) as we Indians are known for our hospitality and our behavior. I am surely NOT come back here and will NOT RECOMMEND to any friends or family for this restaurant because of the behaviors and NO CURTESY towards the customers.
Additionally what we noticed that the food price is extremely high compared to any other nearby restaurants.
ZERO STAR for SERVICE, BEHAVIOR and HUMAN ETHICS for...
