Jam Jam Running Sushi — Restaurant in Hamburg

The food and overall experience were very good—until it was time to pay. As tourists, we attempted to pay with our Visa and Mastercard, only to be informed that the establishment’s card machine only accepts EC cards, a fact we were unaware of. Unfortunately, we did not have cash on hand. When I asked the waiter if we could pay via Revolut, IBAN transfer, or PayPal, he rudely refused and walked away laughing, sarcastically suggesting that we would need to clean the dishes instead. Following this, we were completely ignored by the staff. Desperate to resolve the situation, I approached a younger waitress, Xuejing, who was the only person willing to help. She kindly allowed me to send her the payment through PayPal, and I deeply appreciate her assistance. However, while I was completing the payment, the rest of the staff stood behind me, openly laughing and mocking me—a behavior that was both unprofessional and humiliating.This was an absolutely appalling experience, and while I am grateful to Xuejing for her kindness and professionalism, the rest of the staff demonstrated shockingly poor behavior that completely overshadowed what could have been an...

Well. We decided at 2.40pm to rush and try to catch the lunch special. As soon as we entered, we were told, that we only had till 3.45pm time to sit and eat. As soon as we sat down. I was told, that I couldn’t have the sports bottles with smoothies inside on the table. We weren’t planning to drink them o. I was told, if we don’t order any drinks we will be charged 2€ per person. Then I decided to order drinks, but since we were rushed, we didn’t drink them. The glasses stayed full with Soda. While we were still eating at 3.20pm, the waiter came over to tell us again that they will be closing at 3.30pm. He just started to clean the table, even though we were eating. Jam Jam Running Sushi, Hamburg-Wandsbek – eine große Enttäuschung

Leider war unser Besuch im Jam Jam Running Sushi in Hamburg-Wandsbek am vergangenen Wochenende eine herbe Enttäuschung. Wir hatten uns auf das beworbene Speziale Mittagsbuffet gefreut, wurden jedoch nach wenigen Minuten ernüchtert. Das sogenannte Running Sushi war in Wahrheit kaum vorhanden. Von Sushi war nur eine geringe Auswahl verfügbar, und die wenigen angebotenen Sorten waren nicht nur unappetitlich, sondern auch schlecht gerollt, fast wie ein Klumpen und nicht das, was man sich unter Sushi vorstellt. Stattdessen liefen Teller mit Bratnudeln, Kartoffelkroketten und Chicken Nuggets in Endlosschleife auf dem Band, die wenig mit Sushi zu tun haben und nicht annähernd die Vielfalt boten, die ein Sushi-Restaurant auszeichnen sollte.

Schon der Empfang war unangenehm. Obwohl wir reserviert hatten, wurden wir unhöflich empfangen und zu unseren Plätzen geschickt, wobei ein Mitarbeiter über das Laufband hinweg laut Anweisungen schrie, sodass sich alle Gäste umdrehten und wir uns sofort unwohl fühlten. Auch der Service konnte diesen schlechten ersten Eindruck nicht mehr retten.

Die Qualität des Essens war unterirdisch. Das Sushi und auch die anderen Speisen auf dem Band wirkten alt und nicht frisch. Die Teller waren abgenutzt, teils rissig, was ebenfalls kein appetitliches Bild abgab. Es machte den Eindruck, als wären Reste vom Vorabend einfach auf das Band gestellt worden. Nach knapp 10 Minuten war uns klar, dass hier keine Abwechslung mehr kommen würde.

Das Speziale Mittagsbuffet für vier Personen kostete uns 99 Euro, was für die schlechte Qualität und das mangelhafte Angebot absolut nicht gerechtfertigt war.

Zu allem Überfluss berichtete unser Sohn, dass die Toiletten in einem erschreckenden Zustand waren. Der Boden war klebrig und schmutzig, sodass seine Schuhe beim Verlassen des Restaurants noch daran hafteten und somit der Schmutz durch die Essensräume verteilt wurde.

In der Vergangenheit waren wir hier schon einmal mit Freunden und damals begeistert, aber dieses Mal war es das genaue Gegenteil. Die Qualität des Restaurants hat deutlich nachgelassen, sodass wir es auf keinen Fall weiterempfehlen können – weder für den Preis noch für die...
