I had very very bad experience in this restaurant. I was in a dinner with my professor and my family (with 10 months old baby and my husband). We had a reservation at 6pm with noticing the stuff that we have a small baby. In the dinner, however, the waiter wanted to give a place to a smoking lady just next to us even though there were plenty of other empty tables in outside. And the tables were so close which is against the Covid regulations anyways!! Moreover, the waiter asked my to replace my sit with my baby because the lady is going to smoke. The tables were so close that it doesn’t matter we replace the seats if she smokes. So, my husband suggested him to change the sit of the lady instead of asking us to switching the places. In response, the waiter all of the sudden got ranged and almost yelled to my husband. I felt so terrible already to experience that moment just in front of my professor. I wanted to avoid any more temper and asked him extremely kindly to reserve the place for at least a non-smoker person. And he responded me with a same high volume voice by shaking his finger to my face. I kept my silence with expecting him to calm down, but no ways. When he came to ask for our order, I ask him if he has a special suggestion to me. He rolled his eyes and said that everything is in the menu and ask me if I am readable! He was unbelievably rude!
things did not even take an end. I walked inside with a hope to speak with someone and decrease this temper. I asked the waiter if we can speak in English. He was again so rude by telling me to speak only in German (although I saw him before in many times speaking in English) and without taking a breath he continued to shake his finger to my face by saying that my husband is unrespectful. And he turned his back to me without even listening my words. Hopefully, I spoke with the other colleague and explained the situation.
First of all, the distance btw tables are illegal! Secondly, there were plenty of places already and there were no need to argue like that. Third, it is not a waiters‘ business to set the sits of one table. Last and most importantly, when a customer ask or suggest something, snapping at a customer is not a nice way to reject the proposal. I don’t even want to mention his finger wagging to our face which is not acceptable in anywhere in any occasion.
I emailed to the restaurant the same comment and no answer as i expected. I do not recommend this place to anyone...
Read moreI wanted to visit this restaurant during the week with my child who was sleeping in a collapsible pram. The restaurant was empty. A man walked in and was seated at a table and I followed before a waiter quickly came to the door to tell me they weren’t open yet. It was 11:58am and the advertised opening was 12. I asked when they would be open, and he said “it will take some time”, and then I said ok I will wait and come back, and then he said something to the effect of “actually, there’s not much space here, go to another restaurant”. I’ve never been made to feel so unwelcome just because of having a quiet sleeping child and I would have promptly eaten and left and not taken up one of the precious tables for too long in an empty restaurant. I then went to Ertrusker which was open and welcomed me and my child and served us delicious food and which I...
