Ruined our evening!

It was Friday evening and the bar was extremely busy, yet they were running the whole operation with just one or two waiters. We decided to leave after waiting far too long for our drinks. No waiter was making eye contact with us or communicating with us—it felt like we didn’t exist there. Although the service seemed absolutely unorganised, drinks were being served to regular (German or local) customers who were definitely being prioritised over tourists.

After waiting for what felt like forever, we decided to leave. Then, one waiter followed us close to the hotel we were staying at, telling us that the drinks were almost ready and that it wasn’t fair we left without paying. Don’t forget that the bar was extremely busy and they were struggling to keep up with orders with only two waiters, but this waiter—a white guy wearing a white crop top—managed to find time to run after us to make us pay for the drinks.

We tried to explain to him how we were treated at the bar, but he only wanted us to listen to his story about how they were struggling with just two waiters and short staffing! When I told him that staffing issues was something that they should talk to the management about, he asked me to shut up! Can you imagine being asked to shut up as a customer at a bar for speaking the truth?

We went back, and paid for the drinks, which, obviously, it was impossible for us to enjoy in a place where we were treated differently and given less priority. Never going back to this place. The staff are rude, and they just want your money. The two staff behind the bar were chitchatting and giggling while people like us have been waiting for our drinks for a long time, this meant the orders were not being placed on a timely manner. The strange thing was that, they don’t let you order/pay at the bar but the waiters have to come to you to take your order. And good luck with attracting their attention to place your orders! No hospitality or whatsoever and zero customer service. This absolutely ruined our first Friday evening in Hamburg, which we were really looking forward to. Horrible experience.

Another thing was that, both toilets were unisex, including the one which had urinals. It felt really uncomfortable using the urinal while women (who were absolute strangers to me) were...

Bad Service & Bad Attitude - (which you can also read about from other people's reviews on here too)

I went on a Saturday night with 4 friends. We struggled to find seating but eventually ee managed to find ourselves a table and we all hung up our jackets to get seated. Only after we got seated, a waiter told us that he would not be serving us due to COVID rules and that the table could only seat a maximum of 4 people. Instead of being helpful, he rudely said he can't do anything and went off.

We kindly asked a different group of 2, sitting on a larger table of we could swap, and they politely said yes.

After getting re-seated it took us 30 minutes to get our drinks order taken! 30 MINUTES! 20 minutes into the said 30 minutes I had to go to the rude waiter (wearing my mask of course) to ask him if someone could take our drinks order. I was standing next to him and he ignored my questions twice. I don't know why he had such a bad attitude. On the third request he told me someone will come round. I made a point of asking WHEN will someone come to take our order since we had been waiting a while already.

Eventually a much nicer lady who was behind the bar took our order.

We asked for the bill as our drinks were served to avoid any extra waiting around. Thankfully we managed to pay very quickly.

Ich habe ein Wochenende in Hamburg verbracht und diese Bar wurde mir Empfohlen. Also war ich zwei mal dort einmal am Freitag den 15.10. und am Samstag den 16.10. am Freitag war ich sehr zufrieden alles hat rundum gepasst nette Atmosphäre. Aber am Samstag war ich echt schockiert, ich war allein dort gegen 20:30. Im Außenbereich direkt an der Tür war ein ganzer Tisch frei also hab ich mich dort hingesetzt. Nach über einer halben Stunde sitzen wurde ich einfach links liegen gelassen und gefühlt mit Absicht nicht beachtet. Nachdem ich dann selbst den Kellner (groß, blond) nahm er wenigstens meine Bestellung auf. Was dann folgte war Interessant zwei Junge Damen setzten sich zu mir keine 5 Minuten später kam besagter Kellner und fragte „ Und was wollt ihr saufen, Achja deinen Impfausweis brauch ich noch“ ich holte mein Impfbuch raus und er sagte ohne es sich anzuschauen ok Passt. Wie ich von den Mädels erfahren hab war die eine gerade erst 17 soviel zum Jugendschutz da sie einen Caipirinha für sich bestellte aber gut nicht mein Problem. Der restliche Abend ging weiter wie er begonnen hat ich wurde nicht wirklich bedient. Als dann eine größere Gruppe sich zu mir setzte wurde es nach einer Zeit sehr interessant die Gruppe bestellte sich 5 Shots und 5 Bier ich mir einen Moscow Mule den 4. an diesem Abend. Nach einer Dreiviertelstunde waren immer noch keine Getränke da, auf Nachfrage bei einem anderen Kellner meinte dieser ja kommen sofort. Nach weiteren 30 Minuten ging ich an die Bar weil ich keine Lust mehr hatte zu Warten. Zum Abkassieren war man sehr schnell bei mir komisch! Auf Nachfrage beim Kellner warum das so lange dauert meinte dieser ich hätte nichts mehr bestellt doch hatte ich sogar bei Ihm. Die Gruppe bestätigte dies und er wusste auch noch was für shots bestellt waren (erneut komisch). Die Gruppe sagte aber das die bereits kamen und auch die Biere noch kommen da die nette Blonde Dame die Bestellung aufgenommen hatte worauf er nur sagte geht nicht weil sie keinen Donner hat was auch immer ein Donner ist?!

Die Toiletten waren eine Zumutung! Schmutzig, Kein Toilettenpapier der Boden voller Desinfektionsmittel, in einer der Toiletten lief irgendwas am Boden entlang ich will gar nicht wissen was das für eine Flüssigkeit war.

Ich weiß nicht was an dem Abend los war aber ich fand den Abend in dieser Bar echt nicht schön und war echt enttäuscht nachdem es am Freitag dort echt schön war. Ich weis nicht woran das Lag vielleicht ja weil ich nicht aus Hamburg komm und Freitag mit Hamburger Begleitung dort war wird man wohl nie erfahren. Ich bin gern und oft in Hamburg aber ob ich noch einmal in diese Bar gehe wahrscheinlich nicht.

Trotzdem nichts für ungut...
