UNDERDOCKS — Restaurant in Hamburg

We were starving and decided to try the highly recommended Black Tiger Roll (ordered two) and one Fish & Chips, sharing everything between the two of us. Everything was delicious, but it was definitely messy to eat—expect to get sauce all over your face and use a lot of napkins!

You can also upgrade your meal for €2.50 with a "dirty upgrade," but since I already expected everything to be dripping everywhere, it didn’t seem like a good fit for me. However, my friends highly recommend it.

The Fish & Chips were also great! The fries were thick, round, and uniquely flavorful, adding a nice touch to the dish.

My only feedback is that the Black Tiger Roll could have had more shrimp—I definitely expected and wanted a more generous portion.

We came to visit a friend in Hamburg, were checking out the Elbentunnel and saw this place on Google maps. The person at the counter is friendly and funny and since it was a match day, the atmosphere was quite busy and everyone was getting food and beer before heading to the stadium. We tried the crayfish roll and the Backfisch roll. The bread is the tastiest bread I've ever had on a Fischbrötchen. Like a pretzel almost, but fluffier. The toppings were so delicious, especially the crayfish! A bit messy to eat but there are serviettes, and small tables to lean on. It's quite pricey but worth every cent. Best...

We were in Hamburg for a few days and came here because of the many positive reviews. We tried the Black Tiger Roll and unfortunately have to say that it's really nothing special. It's definitely not bad, but it's honestly just a normal sandwich with (a few) prawns. Just enough to be a snack and certainly not enough to be a filling meal and for that price you can get a good and satisfying meal elsewhere. There are a few seats, but the line can get pretty long, so be prepared to not find a seat. As I said, it's not bad, but paying 11€ for a pretty but basic sandwich is definitely...
