The location is great for those who want to be in the heart of the action :) It is smack dab in the heart of the red light distract, the entrance is in between a bar and a sex shop…not kidding. You have to be ok with the scene and the odd homeless person, but it is safe and a great spot to walk to the town center, the St. Pauli football stadium, the fair grounds, the Landungsbrücken, congress center and the Michael Jackson musical is right across the street as are variety shows, some cool bars and a couple clubs in the district. Hooters with the best wings in town is at the other end of the strip and Cuneo, Germany‘s oldest and first Italian restaurant is a 5 min walk. The place itself is very clean, furniture is modern, rustic and practical and bathrooms are clean with nice towels and even amenities (shower gel/ shampoo, handsoap). Beds are comfy with nice sheets. WiFi is great and you can log into your Netflix to watch movies on a smart flat screen tv. I have come with my son and also with a friend. We never had breakfast, but the buffet looks and smells great with a good selection. Dining room and public spaces by the reception are bright and airy and great for remote work. There’s no bar but a well stocked fridge at the reception and the public spaces are nice to hang out in the evenings with a drink for a chat. In the summer, there’s a small roof terrace to sit outside in the backyard. The staff are all super friendly and accommodating, never a grim face and always ready to help. I have stayed several times, because the rates are great for a metropolis like Hamburg and as a native Hamburger with the clubs being my old hang outs in the 80s I feel right at home. Even though it’s called ‘hostel’ it is so much more than that compared to some places I have stayed all over Europe. It sets a high bar for hostel standards :) it’s a great and fun place! For me there’s just one negative point to mention - although it doesn’t bother me: there’s no elevator. You enter at street level and have to walk up a stair case to get to reception. The rooms are also located on several levels which you reach by a system of stairwells in the back of the house, as they have combined two buildings. To me, it adds to the charm and I don’t need the elevator muzak, but you have to be able to use your...

Really good located, specially if u like the party, night environment. Even tho it's not loud or problematic to sleep. Really close to everything you should / want to visit in the city. The service inside the hotel was really friendly and helpful. The hotel looks really nice and modern. The rooms have inside TV, confortable beds, and other services. The hotel has a nice rest area close to the check in counter and a terrace to chill out or smoke. We took the option of breakfast buffet and it was amazing, a lot of options, juices, coffees, even fresh waffles and the waffle Maschine with all the topings etc. For amazing price 11 eu. Totally worth it. I totally recommend this hotel, and I will definitely come back if I'm in Hamburg again. The only negative thing I could say it was all the stairs they have, if you are tired from walking for you to arrive to your room seems like a endless way haha but this is normal in German buildings , so knowing that you should ask for a lower floor, but...

Pyjama Park in St. Pauli is a different kind of hotel and the following is for you/3.5 Stars. Pros: Located in one of the best places of Hamburg. Quite near to the famous dock area, plenty of things to do. This Reeperbahn area is still one of the most popular Red Light areas in central Europe, so it wakes at night with a different presentation. In short St. Pauli is a happening place. This hotel cum hostel has strange stiff entrance, also have a bar beneath. The staffs are very understanding and helpful. Back to the hostel they offer some open kitchen facility with 10€ per pay, which can be a lovely option for many travelers. If the boarders keep their rooms clean they can avail 2.5€ drinks in exchange of the same. Every room I think has different themes than other. Not Pros: Price is little higher compare to the services offered. The stairs are very stiff and bathroom-toilets are poorly planned. I recommend at least a day stay if hamburg is on list for couple of...

Mix of hostel and hotel. You can book rooms with a private or shared bathroom. Granted.. The way to your room might be a little adventurous, the rooms are clean and actually quite lofty for the price charged! During the week (I visited on a Wednesday night) its quiet enough - just like a regular hotel near a busy street. On the weekend I'd imagine you wouldn't mind the bar downstairs, as you're there for partying yourself anyways. Looks like the perfect stay for a fun weekend in Hamburgs party district (st Pauli / Reeperbahn) - bars, shows, theater, food options are literally across the street.
