Fischpfanne — Restaurant in Hamburg

I wish I could give a negative score. Not only the service was disappointing, herring was disgusting (as many other people wrote here, not only me), the place is overpriced, but also we were charged twice!!! The owner shouted at us, forcing us to pay second time claiming the first time wasn’t successful. Unfortunately, when we came to the hotel, we discovered the same transaction twice. They changed us Euro 84 twice!! We asked for the bill and were refused to see it before we pay. Instead, the owner was called who shouted at us, saying we can only see it after paying. The staff was rude and very aggressive, I do not feel safe to come back there. It’s very frustrating, we brought kids to see and experience Hamburg (and Europe) from Australia and this is something we never experienced before. Not a bad learning but not for our money. We will report it to the police tomorrow morning and see if they can help us. Please stay away. I think some of the reviews are paid, we haven’t seen happy clients there.

Update: We contacted our bank early morning and reported double charge. They confirmed that the second transaction was still pending and reassured us that it will be monitored and resolved. We obviously didn’t have a desire to go back and get abused again plus we left Hamburg early. I am pretty confident that we will get the money back, however, the impression of the whole city was ruined. This is a shame, I was in Hamburg 4 times and this the first time when I took kids with me. I think the service needs to be significantly improved. To be fair, the burger was ok comparing to other dishes, at least our little son didn’t...

We loved the place when we first went there in 2015. Unfortunately our 2nd visit turned into a catastrophe. I wanted to use the toilet after we bought 4 Fischbrötchen from the buffet with my family. The rudest waiter I've ever seen who didn't allow me to use the toilet, also said that I had to go outside, pushing by my arms and shouting at me in front of other people. I was surprised at what happened. He argued first with me and then with my husband, and we had tension in the family because of him. It was a terrible moment for me, I have never encountered anything like this in my life. You should not work with such rude service employees. Definitely a big disappointment. Even 1 star is too much....

Leider sehr sehr schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht.

Der Besitzer war total unfreundlich, er hat einen anderen Kunden vor allen Gästen angepöbelt, weil dieser einen Tisch in der Sonne haben wollte. Das Problem war wohl, dass der Kellner den Tisch noch einmal desinfizieren musste. Mein Impfdokument (welches überall anders genommen wird) wurde nicht angenommen, weshalb wir uns nach draußen setzten mussten (wo wir erst noch 5 Minuten warten mussten bis zwei Tische frei wurden) Nicht Gäste, bzw. Gäste die etwas an dem Stand daneben (www.fischbrötchen.de) geholt haben durften nicht auf die Toilette gehen. Wer nicht Essen und Trinken wollte, durfte auch bei vielen leeren Tisch nicht Platz nehmen. Das Kartenlesegerät war nicht funktionsfähig und wir wurden blöd angemacht es wären unsere Karten die nicht funktionieren würden (Zitat:“können Sie nicht lesen. Können Sie nicht lesen was da steht.“) auf dem Gerät stand, dass der Magnetstreifen benutzt werden soll, aber es hatte ja zuvor nicht funktioniert. Währenddessen hielt der Besitzer das Gerät so nah ans Gesicht, dass es schon nicht mehr angenehm war. Der Besitzer beobachtet einen die ganze Zeit beim Essen, dass hat mit Kundenorientierung nichts zu tun. Ein anderer Kellner der dort gearbeitet hat, war sehr sehr nett. Nur hatte der auch wenig zu sagen und wurde von dem Besitzer weggeschickt, sobald dieser sich mit den Gästen unterhalten hat. Eine so unfreundliche Bedienung hatte ich noch nie!

Auch wenn das Essen geschmeckt hat, kann ich das Restaurant auf Grund der Unfreundlichkeit nicht empfehlen. Andere Gäste die davor standen, sind auch nur durch die Unfreundlichkeit des Besitzers wieder gegangen.

Sehr zu empfehlen ist allerdings der Fischbrötchen Togo Stand, die Bedienung war sehr sehr freundlich und es hat auch sehr gut geschmeckt, dort hat die Kartenzahlumg auch geklappt...
