As a traveller from Australia, I had the pleasure of dining at Masa Restaurant in Hannover, and it was a delightful experience. Situated in the heart of the city, this Afghan eatery offers an authentic taste of Afghan cuisine in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

As I stepped inside of the restaurant there were two young ladies at the bar. One was of a fairer complexion than the other. The one with the darker complexion and the dark hair saw me heading towards a chair and ask what do I want to do here or something like that. I said to her , I would like to eat. What I don't understand is why was I the only person asked what I would like to do there. It is obvious if someone enters a restaurant ( which is hidden at the back of some street ) they would love to eat there. I am back and the other Germans which came after me where only greeted with a welcome and told that they could have a seat.

Now to the food. I had the kabuli. The meat seemed as if it was only seaseaned with salt and nothing else. The food was not that good. Not to mention that I had to wait for almost 30 minutes since the waitress did not put in my order, luckily the blonde girl who was in the bar saw me and came to take my order.

I love Afghan-food. This is why I traveled mile to get to this restaurant. I would recommend the other Afghan-Resturant which is in Hannover....

Ich gehe sehr gerne außerhalb essen und ich habe noch nie auch nur ansatzweiße so einen unfreundlichen Service erlebt. Wir haben den Geburtstag meiner Schwester dort gefeiert, zuerst wurden 2 von 5 Getränken vergessen (nur alkoholische Cocktails wurden gebracht, der Apfelsaft für die kleinen Kinder u.a. 2 Jahre alt) wurde bei 33 grad Sonne erst nach weiterer Nachfrage gebracht mit der Aussage er hätte nicht auf dem Zettel des Kellners gestanden). Das Essen für die Kinder wurde extra vorab bei den Getränken bestellt, weil die Kinder hungrig waren und auch die Vorspeisen nicht mitessen wollten. Es kam dennoch erst zum Hauptgang, circa 30-40 Minuten nach dem es bestellt wurde und es ging nur um einen Teller Nudeln ohne nichts, den sich die kleinen geteilt hätten. Zum Hauptgang wurde uns zuerst etwas gebracht, was wir nicht bestellt haben. Wir haben auch beim Nebentisch mehrfach mitbekommen, dass was falsches gebracht worden ist. Das Besteck wurde zuerst vergessen. Ich habe zur Hauptspeise ein zweites Getränk bestellt, nach über einer halben Stunde waren wir bereits lange fertig mit dem Essen und das Getränk war immer noch nicht da obwohl ich 2 mal nachgefragt hatte, wo es bleiben würde.. Dann bin ich reingegangen und meinte, dass ich gerne zahlen würde und das Getränk nicht mehr gebracht werden brauch. Daraufhin hat eine junge Kellnerin von der Seite mich angemeckert, dass das nicht geht, dass ich das Getränk bestellt habe und jetzt auch bezahlen muss und was ich mir denken würde so frech zu sein. Mir sind die Tränen gekommen weil der Geburtstag hinüber gewesen ist durch die gesamte Situation. Es wurde vor meinen Augen zum Tisch gebracht obwohl ich gesagt habe, ich möchte einfach nur noch zahlen nach all den Unannehmlichkeiten. Beim Bezahlen hat meine Schwester niedergeschlagen zu mir gesagt, dass es der schlimmste Service war den sie je erlebt hat und ich hab noch zum Kellner gesagt, dass das Essen jedoch lecker war, weil ich nicht unfreundlich sein wollte. Daraufhin hat er zu uns gesagt, dass wir die schlimmsten Gäste dafür waren. Diese Aussage während wir beide mit Tränen an der Kasse stehen, am eigenen Geburtstag unter anderem. Wow, Applaus, ehrlich. Witzig fand ich, dass die Kellnerin als sie mich angemeckert hat, gesagt hat, „sie sehen doch, dass hier viel los ist.“ Es waren nur draußen Tische belegt und zwar circa 8 (keine volle Auslastung, vieles war frei) und die Servicekräfte waren zu dritt draußen, drinnen habe ich dann noch weitere Mitarbeiter gesehen) Kurz gesagt, es war absolut nichts los im Vergleich zu anderen Lokalen. Es war nicht nur unangebracht weil „wir Gäste waren“. Es war menschlich einfach unter der Gürtellinie, erniedrigend und ich wünsche niemandem so ein Erlebnis.
