Neckar Pizza-Pasta Vegetarian — Restaurant in Heidelberg

We spent 2 1/2 days in Heidelberg and on our first night when we had just arrived and in need of food quickly, we stumbled across this gem of a restaurant just around the corner from our hotel. There is another restaurant right beside it (bei Baumhaus) which is owned by the same person.

What a find! We had the best pizza ever! Piping hot with lovely fresh ingredients. The crust was one of the best we have ever had the pleasure to taste. The owner was right on hand, in fact he waited on us and brought us our order. He definitely shows great pride in his restaurant and food, as he should. We ate there twice (pizza) and next door twice (the freshest salad and huge burgers and awesome fries). The prices were great. Back home in Ontario we would be paying double for this quality and quantity of food. We were so impressed the only other meals we ate elsewhere was breakfast😃

We are always extra driving from Mannheim only to have this delicious food in this great atmosphere. Having so many great playgrounds around of it making the food take away from them as such a great option for families with little kids. They offer fries and pasta and pizza for kids. As well many vegetarian options. There are separate washrooms for ladies and gentlemen and always well cleaned and offered soap and paper rolls. We moved to Heidelberg around 6 months ago. Since then we have been visiting this place frequently. We always enjoy their food. My wife and daughter love their doner. For me, their spicy pizza is probably my all times favorite pizza.
