I cannot believe Rossini is not in the top 100 restaurants in Heidelberg. After dining here, I would have expected it to be in the top 20 at least. In fact, my wife put her appetizer and main course in the top five meals she has ever eaten. The ambience of this place is in the classic style of a fine restaurant with dimmed lighting, soft music, and excellent service. From start to finish, everything about this dining experience could not have been better. We started with two superb appetizers and shared them. We ordered the scallops in a marvelous saffron sauce and an eggplant Parmesan in a sweet tomato sauce dusted with Padano cheese. My goodness were the scallops cooked perfectly. For our mains, I selected the salmon in a saffron sauce with risotto and spinach. My wife opted for the sea bream with Mediterranean vegetables and rosemary potatoes. We enjoyed a nice bottle of Chardonnay that complimented our exceptional meals. We closed out the evening with a glass of Prosecco. I only found this place because I had a medical appointment at the ATOS clinic. I guess I can't wait to go back to the doctor for another exam and an outstanding dinner. You have to try this place....
Read moreExtremely disappointed with the service. I understand the restaurant was busy, but when my family and I went there for dinner tonight, the waiter literally took out his notebook, was about to take our order, and then suddenly ran off to serve someone else. Incredibly rude. I tried to express my frustration, but the staff didn’t seem to care. He even threw the menu loudly onto the table, which not only startled my family but also other customers. I wouldn’t expect a restaurant like this to hire such unprofessional staff. The food is average, and I wouldn’t recommend this place. But if you do go, hopefully, you won’t be served by...
Read moreThe food is relatively tasty. But it’s not a honest restaurant for tourists. My daughter ordered the spaghetti on daily menu for 12.5 € but it’s 24.5 € on the bill. A Coke also changed from 3.5 € on the menu to 4.8 €. When I asked about it. The waiter immediately said: it’s not the daily menu and obviously knowing what I mean. I can afford it even with tips but for a pure spaghetti with less than 10 small clams and without any side dishes for lunch. I think it’s too much. If you are tourists, be careful for their dishonest behavior! I am not recommend this restaurants unless you are...
