YOYO Sushi & Grill — Restaurant in Kassel

We should have read the reviews carefully before going. If you do end up here, avoid the sushi. This is totally not sushi. It’s just small bits of rice with a tiny bit of fish on top. They should call themselves a Chinese restaurant instead. The staff and cooks are Chinese. And the duck is actually good, and very typically Chinese. Even for Chinese food though, the fried noodles are terrible. Avoid the sushi and order fried meats and you will be fine. I’d say the duck, the beef and the fried prawns are good. The rest of the fried stuff ranges from average to meh. The sushi is not sushi. Edit: the cooking is not consistent and the second plate of beef was salty enough to preserve eggs. We seriously haven’t had such bad Asian cooking before. Our modest local Asian cooking is a hundred times better than this. 其实不是吃不完。只点了一份锅贴，但是太难吃了，真的不能吃。炒面也不能吃。多点了些渣物，是因为已经要付50euro,至少还是要吃饱 After consideration, I also realise that most places in Germany I’ve eaten so far, pple would ask us if everything is ok and if the food is good, but here the first reaction is to tell us we can’t order so much if we can’t finish. i don’t get the low review because the taste of the dishes are good. especially the flambierte sushis and the tofutasche🤤🤤 about the size, it is pretty small than other sushi restaurant but it’s an AYCE restaurant so if it’s too small then just order more??? and the fish was also pretty fresh. about the unfriendly service, i don’t think he was unfriendly (me and my husband even think he was friendly) because i could understand that with a full house he only worked with 1 other server so he cant be too friendly with each guests cause then he won’t get his works finished so he needs to be fast (i worked in gastronomie too so i could totally understand him). and i would definitely come back...

YOYO Sushi & Grill ist für mich nicht nur ein Restaurant – es ist ein Ort, an dem ich mich jedes Mal willkommen und rundum wohl fühle. Es ist mein absolutes Lieblingsrestaurant, und ich wünsche mir von ganzem Herzen, dass es niemals schließen muss.

Das Essen ist einfach fantastisch. Ob Sushi, Grillgerichte oder andere Speisen – alles wird mit größter Sorgfalt, absoluter Frische und viel Liebe zum Detail zubereitet. Jedes Gericht ist ein Genuss, sowohl geschmacklich als auch optisch, und ich freue mich jedes Mal aufs Neue, etwas von der Karte zu probieren. Man merkt, dass hier echte Leidenschaft am Werk ist.

Das Restaurant selbst ist immer makellos sauber, was mir persönlich sehr wichtig ist und das Essenserlebnis umso angenehmer macht.

Besonders hervorheben möchte ich das Personal: Jeder im Team ist freundlich, aufmerksam und gibt einem das Gefühl, ein gern gesehener Gast zu sein. Ein ganz besonderes Lob geht an den Chef. Er mag auf den ersten Blick streng wirken, doch genau das zeigt, wie viel ihm daran liegt, dass alles reibungslos läuft und perfekt ist – für die Gäste und das gesamte Team. Seine Mühe, alles richtig zu machen, spürt man in jedem Detail, und gerade das macht den Unterschied.

Die entspannte und angenehme Atmosphäre im Restaurant ist das i-Tüpfelchen, das jeden Besuch zu einem echten Erlebnis macht. Es ist ein Ort, an dem man die Zeit vergessen und den Alltag hinter sich lassen kann.
