Nice Filippino breakfast/lunch joint. Colorful, islandish. The prices vs the size are definitely not low, it seems to be the trend with ethnic cuisines. However, the food is yummy and unique. The menu has few sections - pancakes (savory and sweet), two rice dishes, two little snacks, homemade lemonades, sodas, drinks. At the counter you can see cakes of the day (mostly variations of the cheesecake). Writing a review will get you a piece of cake on the house (unfortunately we saw it too late, so this review is not influenced by the cake in any way). So the menu - we got two types of lemo (ingwer and lavander) - both are good, on the not too sweet side, however a looot of ice in a relatively short glasses for 5.2 euro. Pancakes have a bunch of yummy options (remember that Filippino food is mostly a play between sweet and salty together) - so we got avocado pancakes (they are on a sweeter side) with poached eggs and bacon. It works perfectly together. A small plate with yoghurt with knoblauch, poached egg and chili oil with two pieces of bread - the plate is small, but the taste is loud and proud. I think the pancakes are between 15-20 euro, small plates are around 9, and two rice dishes are 17-20. All the food was super fresh (high quality ingredients), with a lot of unique taste which is the most important imo and a lot of attention to details - a perfect play of sweet and salty to start the day. We did get a caramel peanut cheesecake - which was the least interesting item for me, but i am also very particular about those. It was good, but that is it. A lot of seating area - kids, dogs friendly, wheel chair accessible I believe. The intetior is colorful and contrasty for the gen Z influencers, for those of us who are more intetested in reality - just a great and unique place to have breakfast/lunch, or to meet up with friends. Unique, high quality food (for a slightly higher pricectag), immaculate polite service from the moment you open the door, positive Filippino vibes (they dont have any other). Also, i believe there is an outdoor seating...

This cafe is designed aesthetically, with the chairs and the nice counter where the coffee machine is. There are some filipino touches like the different places and signages, and I think the chairs are as well.
The sad part is the service. We had to wait for 30 mins for our drinks the fact that there weren't a lot of people in the cafe. Thr food was served first. We had our Adobo rice. Unfortunately, for €16.50. The serving was so little. The taste was more towards Germans, which is understandable as they need to cater to them aswell. But I think for the price, there should be more to it. The salad on the side just had spinach on it without any dressing on it. We finished the rice bowl, unfortunately didnt get our drinks yet. Even the guy who came in had his drinks first. Then, we had to get it for takeaway as we had to go.
Maybe I was expecting more filipino breakfast options on the menu. But unfortunately, there weren't a lot of options.
I like that they had options for coffee and chocolate from the Philippines, which was...

Let’s start from the food: it was quite good actually, I ordered the egg and bacon pancakes. Coffee: also the coffee is quite good, but I would have preferred a bit warmer than that, not a big deal anyway.
Generally speaking I find it quite pricey but ok, not exaggeratedly pricey but just slightly more than average. They accept only card payment: YES FINALLY SOMEONE HAPPY TO ACCEPT CARDS!
So, why am I giving such a bad review? Firstly: a friend of mine asked for a glass of water and then, when we got the bill, that glass was in the receipt for 3.2EUR. I really find it ridiculous to ask 3.2EUR for a glass of water and that price was not even listed in the menu.
Then: you are basically buying people asking them to give you a good review for a free slice of cake. Quite a nice marketing campaign, but is it really needed to buy people in such a way?
So, overall: it’s a good cafe. Honestly it deserves a better review than this one but at the same time I feel like these two things listed above can’t...
