Have been 4 times to this establishment and each time I go, my experience gets worse.

Then why have I been 4 times? Because the first 2 times were very good experiences and I put the 3rd time down to 1 poor day for the business, as, everyone can have a bad day.

However I shall now continue to list all issues I had with my last time at the place, and likely... My last time I shall visit.

Starting the evening, I was joining 3 other friends, myself and another were running 5 minutes late, but on arrival we sat for 20 minutes and no drink orders were taken, we were waiting for 1 more friend, but to go 20 minutes on arrival, or longer for our friends who weren't already there, to not be offered a beverage was odd, but ok, maybe that would be the only problem.

When the last of our party joined, we waited a further 20 minutes and ordered our starters and main courses.

Different from before, there was no a surcharge on all gluten free pasta of 2.5€, however despite this surcharge there is no options of different type of pastas. My partner paid 2.5€ extra to get a Penne Carbonara as gluten free spaghetti was not on offer.

The time between finishing the starter and main was also exceptionally long, but as a starter were brought out, 1 of our party supposedly got given her main, a lasagne, however after a few minutes the waiter came and collected the lasagne again, inspected it, and delivered it to another table. So somebody else's food was served to us, waited for about 5 minutes, getting cold, then taken immediately to another person.

The food was ok, the chefs carbonara was overly peppered, but no other grumbles, the gluten free pasta was exceptionally dry.

After finishing our meals, we waited and waited and waited for our dessert options to be taken... And waited. The place was emptying raised hands, etc but no response. Finally, we were so disappointed about the speed of service that when they came we decided to settle the bill and go elsewhere for a dessert.

So we asked a person for the bill, and we waited, we got the attention of another waiter, and asked for the bill again, and waited, then the chef came out to ask how everyone's evening was, so we asked him for the bill, and waited, then the first waiter came back, so we asked him for the bill and finally her went to split the orders and came back...

...with the wrong bill. A duplicate of one of our orders and an additional beer added that was asked for, but never served.

So another 10 minutes of waiting, by which time we had seen 3 tables seated, fed and left, before we could finally settle the bill and leave.

I additionally am not expecting free stuff, but the first 2 times that made Augustus special was a small shot of limoncello served with the bill, this was not served on this time or the last.

So in summary of my experience Exceptionally poor service Additional charge for gluten free pasta and no options No special flair Ok food

I ate here 25 years ago in 1999. Mr. Scurti was a patient of mine in a dental clinic. He was a wonderfully modest man. He invited me to "his little pizza place". I showed up, typical americanerin. I was thinking it would be a standard imbiss. It was outstanding. The food was phenomenal. The atmosphere absolutely charming. I only worked in Mannheim one year, but dear Herr Scurti made such an impression with his humility, hospitality, hard work, and outstanding chef skills that 25 years later I still remember him with great love and kindness. May his "little pizza place" continue forever. God bless...

Augusta is a family run restaurant with amore. We were greeted warmly by the owner and served in a friendly yet efficient manner throughout the evening. This despite us being a large and loud group of 23 people.

The food was solid, but nothing special. The pizza dough was neither Neapolitan nor Roman. Rather, it had an extremely crispy mouthfeel, almost biscuit-like. Not a traditional pizza but yummy nevertheless. The homemade tiramisu and pannacotta were heavenly: smooth,...
