We called around 2pm before coming in because we were a large group and knew they were closing at 3pm. They were ok for us to come in. Once we got there our whole experience felt more than rushed, we did not feel welcomed and were reminded several times that the kitchen is closing. In my opinion, once you let your customer in, you have to treat them with respect. The staff (except one waitress) was very unfriendly. The food was ok, nothing special, not bad either. However, it just didn’t taste right for us due to the overall experience. Later we also realized that there were two other tables still dining there and we did not feel like they were rushed in the same way- so that added to our bad experience. I cannot recommend this place and we will for sure not be back. Hope the owner will reflect her behavior and staff behavior based...

It's Chinese food with a touch of coconut milk, not authentic Thai cuisine. The interior, however, is very Thai and clean. Basically a long run not updated family restaurant to accomodate the local diners of that generation.

The missing things that other reviewers mentioned below are spiciness, sourness, herbs (lemongrass and Thai basilicum are essential element) and Thai dessert. A pot of tea cost 7.80 eu, which came with teabag was a real dissappointment. Desserts are fried banana and all type of syrup: not Thai coconut milk dessert. The crispy duck is tasty, but same as the Asian/Vietnamese Imbiss in Germany. Again, a basic dish Tom Kha Kai was sweet/salty but not spicy/sour. Generally, all the dishes are lacking of aromatics.

Both owners are friendly. A rushing pace with sigh was constantly...

Update: Vielen Dank für ihre ausführliche Antwort, das zeigt dass sie noch mit Herz und Seele dabei sind. Ich möchte klarstellen dass ich das Essen bei ihnen nicht schlecht fand, es hat gut geschmeckt.

Aber ihre Antwort geht ein Stück weit am Kern meiner Kritik vorbei.

Sie wissen selber dass ich mir die Karte nicht angesehen habe, sondern direkt nach einem speziellen Gericht gefragt habe.

Stellen sie sich vor sie gehen in ein deutsches Restaurant und bestellen ein "Hähnchenschnitzel mit Pommes" und sie bekommen dann "Chicken Nuggets mit potato wedges". Natürlich ist es irgendwie dasselbe, nämlich paniertes Hähnchen mit Kartoffeln, und wahrscheinlich wird es auch gut schmecken, aber es ist eben nicht das was sie bestellt hatten. Und da hilft es am Ende auch nichts, wenn ihnen der Kellner sagt, dass dies das "Hähnchenschnitzel mit Pommes" von der mittagskarte ist, und es auch noch auf der Hauptkarte ein authentisches Menu gibt.

Das Ambiente war für meinen Geschmack etwas zu dunkel aber das Restaurant hat nicht besonders viel Fensterfläche, und letztendlich kam es mir auch nicht darauf an.. Der Service war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, die Bedienung war schnell, und ich habe auf Nachfrage und 2 € Aufpreis auch noch ein Spiegelei pat kra pao bekommen. Das Essen hat gut geschmeckt, aber nicht wie Pad kra pao, bambussprossen, rote paprikastreifen und Austern Soja Sauce habe ich so in Thailand nicht in diesem Gericht kennengelernt. Es ist schon sehr auf den deutschen Gaumen abgeschmeckt. Ich bin selber Unternehmer im Dienstleistungssektor und ich weiß dass es schwer ist es immer allen Kunden recht zu machen, vielleicht sogar unmöglich. Letztendlich ist man immer auf der sicheren Seite wenn man die gleiche Geschmacksrichtung trifft wie jeder normale Asia Imbiss, Aber ich möchte den Besitzer ermutigen dieses Gericht vielleicht etwas authentischer...
