Service/Bedienung:

Also ganz ehrlich...

If you're in the mood for a thrilling game of "Can I Get a Drink Before the Apocalypse," this is the place for you. I came here with high hopes and an even higher tolerance for bad service – but nothing could prepare me for the three legendary male servers who turned waiting into an art form. After being greeted by the warm and welcoming phrase "Wait outside," I thought, "Sure, that's fine. I can handle a little bit of mystery."

Fast forward 45 minutes, and I was still wondering if my drink had been brewed in another dimension. But no worries—three tables arrived after us, ordered, and ate their food all while our existence seemed to be ignored.

I was really starting to feel like I was part of a social experiment: "Can you ignore a paying customer for an hour and still make them stay?" Spoiler: Yes, they can. But I held strong, because deep down I wanted to win this subtle game of "I’m Not Leaving Without My Drink!"

So, if you're after the kind of service that makes you question your life choices, and you want to know how far you can push your patience, this place is the place to go! 10/10 would recommend if you're looking to test your endurance and get...

After having a smaller dinner the night before and no breakfast, by 3pm without lunch we were starving when we arrived at the restaurant.

We ordered a pork knuckle each, sausages, chips, pretzels and a beer and the serving staff were good to warm us that it was a lot of food we had ordered. I appreciated that, because you can’t always tell and liked it because it meant we hadn’t ordered too little!

The pork knuckle was much better than those I have had from the bigger bier halls, the pretzel great (although I’d prefer it warmed to melt the butter) and the chips a big portion. The 5 sausages were more like samplers and delicious coming with a good amount of onion.

As a joke when we finished the man who seemed like the manager suggested that it’s time to order our mains next. I asked for dessert, he suggested their bigger dessert and we ended up having an amazing baked raisins, apple, rhubarb cake type dessert we would have never ordered otherwise and discovered by recommendation!

We had a lot of food and really enjoyed our meal and the serious faced jokes that came along with it. We might go back tomorrow and will see how we feel after we do have...

A warning to my fellow asian community. Dont step into this place. The Server shouted at us in public because we ask for serving plates. It was so loud that everyone walks pass look at us. 5 of us we ordered 3 as portions here are too big for us. When we ordered water. As is too early for us to drink. We are ready to pay for it. ( he again threaten us , saying we are in German) have to drink beer. When we went to make payment, servers sacarstically say we are rich. Want to charge us 1000UERO. Even punch the numbers on the the machine and ask us to tap. Conclusion. If you are Asian. Dont come.its not worth it at all. Is not just 1 server that behave like this we were serve by 3 different men. All of them are like this. This is not our first time in Germany. But this is by far the worst treatment and experience dine in we have. Living really bad impression on us. Utterly dissapointed.

This was a great place! The staff was super friendly and it looks like it’s a popular place with locals and it’s tourist-friendly without being too touristy. This was definitely a better dining experience than those super-touristy beer halls — I’d say I’d prefer these type of places to try local food. We ordered the beef carpaccio as starter and the cheese spatzle and a 1/4 roast duck. The roast duck was DELICIOUS - perfectly tender and juicy, you don’t really need to sauce but it complemented the duck very nicely. The cheese spatzle was delicious as well. There were a lot of other interesting things on the menu that we would have loved to try (desserts!) but we were just too full. Great ambience, and food — definitely worth visiting when you’re in the area.
