Having last visited a decade ago, the „experience“ we had left a very sour taste in our mouths.
Firstly, understaffed. While the pandemic has caused a monumental shift in people being available for work, it would have been welcomed by us to be informed that things may take a little longer. From sitting down to getting Just the drinks, 45 minutes.
Next, Food. Arrived after 65 minutes of arrival.
The „Miso“ soup. Really??? Hot water with vegetables chucked in, tasteless. You missed the point of Miso, it’s supposed to have flavor - and that can be achieved with a vegetarian recipe. Out of the 2 portions we ordered, I’d say only 8 spoons were consumed- and that was from just utter disbelief that it was so bad.
Main course. 2 x Zucchini flowers. Looked ok, salad was fresh. But. The stuffing in the flowers - wayyyyy too much turmeric which slapped the flavor in the face and took over the dish. Well, that and the SWIMMING POOL of Balsamic Cream that appeared on pretty much every dish we saw coming out of the kitchen. Why???
Next up, the „vindalo“ based curry. Rice was nice, the tofu was good, nice texture. But…..no, not Balsamic……but seems that there’s a misunderstanding when it comes to curry….don’t just use curry powder, in fact don’t use it at all!!! Use a recipe that is Indian!!! Curry’s are, afterall, a vegetarian dish in its creation! Overpowered what could have been the dish of the evening.
Last dish, potato gratin…..salad was good, but……does Prinz Myskin hold shares in a Balsamic Cream business???? It looked like a chocolate topped desert, not a main dish. Again, overpowered the dish.
Our waitress was awesome, obviously stretched but very attentive.
Oh….the toilets, nearly forgot. I know this may be something out of your control, but seriously, it stank like a sewer, which often made its way to the restaurant seating area. Get it fixed, promptly!!!! It was only the fact we have to wear masks to go to the bathroom that it was just bearable.
Overall, over “dressed” with sauces, some of which were overpowering rather than complementary to the dish. A decade ago, you had something unique in a great location, but now you are stuck there and not challenging the competition who are delivering culinary delights in vegetarian/ vegan cooking, which are fairly priced.

Read moreWe were in Munich city center, searching for quality alternative restaurants, and came across this one since I don't eat meat. We chose to sit at their beautiful terrace. There were three ladies serving the clients. It took about 5 minutes before we were greeted and offered the English menu, as requested. However, it then took them another 20-25 minutes to take our order, despite the fact that neither the terrace nor the interior were crowded, especially considering they had three waiters.
Two waitresses passed by our table several times, and we made it clear we were ready to order, but no one stopped to assist us. When the waitress finally brought the two glasses of white wine and cocktails we had ordered, she spilled the white wine on my lap, soaking both my jeans and polo shirt. She apologized and quietly said she would bring another glass of wine. I was quite upset and went to the restroom to try and dry my clothes. Unfortunately, there was no hand paper or toilet paper available. At that point, I was very frustrated and informed the staff that we were leaving.
As someone who travels frequently across Europe (every other month), I have never experienced such poor table service in a high-rated restaurant. The staff seemed untrained in handling such situations. I would have expected to be offered some paper to clean my clothes and a quick relocation to another table since two of the chairs at our table were wet. The reaction from the staff was extremely slow and disappointing.
You have a lesson to learn, guys. Great food might be essential, but it's not enough. Service is key, and yours is hesitant and in serious need of...
Read moreWe ate at MyShkin on a Sunday, saw it by chance by strolling through the city. The atmosphere was good and we knew we were going in at 5 pm so that some of the staff was busy preparing for the dinner. We had a look at the menu and ordered a juice and an ginger-carott smoothie. Our starter came on time but the tortillas and guac were placed on the plate with two smaller bowls for the guac and the spicy sauce so that it didn't look like anything special. After the starters we waited too long for the main dish; although we asked the waiter to explain the type of dish we wanted to order, he did not make the effort to double check so we decided to trust the description and order it anyway. We got Matsaman and Caribbean garden, which showed to be a standard salad (as a starter!) with banana, avocado and pineapple. Definitely not what one reads in the description and it tasted ok with some dressing, so we ate it anyway. The Matsaman was made with tofu which absorbed the taste of the peanut sauce but felt heavy. The rice that came as a side was also very tasteless as well as the broccoli and zucchini. The salad and the drinks were way overpriced, although we know vegan/vegetarian restaurants do cost a bit more, we were surprised to see the bill for the type of courses we got. In conclusion we would say to not be going there again not because of the atmosphere or staff but rather because the food was sadly not so impressive. We love food and therefore give it a...
