LeDu - Happy Dumplings — Restaurant in Munich

My partner and I had a horrible experience here. We waited for almost an hour for our food only to find out it had been put in a delivery bag and had been sitting on the counter for 20 mins. The staff then decided it would be okay to just put the 20 min old dumplings on a plate and serve them to us. After complaining that we didn’t want cold soggy dumplings the waitress got a bit annoyed at us and tried to tell us they were fresh and that new ones would take 11 minutes. However I could not fully understand her because of the language barrier and accent so I said multiple times I don’t understand which ended up in her raising her voice at us. In the end we ended up with a new batch of dumplings but there was hardly an apology and both the kitchen staff and waitress were both rude and not very apologetic or understanding when we didn’t want to eat for 20 min old dumping that had been sitting in a box. I work in hospitality and I don’t understand how in an empty restaurant (only 1 other customer) you can be completely oblivious to your customers who have been sitting there for a long time and have not eaten. The waitress was also eating loudly in the corner of the store loudly while we were waiting for our food which we thought was also quite unprofessional. After all that experience we were not offered any sort of compensation or discount or any sort of way of making it up to us which was disappointing and made it very clear they didn’t really care. The actual dumping however we’re okay, not the best I’ve had but still okay. The other person in the restaurant did say this was unusual for them and that he’d never seen this specific waitress before so hopefully this was only a one...

BAD SERVICE...these two words says it all. I came to this place after seeing all the good review but what I did not expect is a bad service!! The waitress does not show any appreciation to the customer. She does not even try to be nice or at least smile. On the contrary, she was acting totally not interested when taking the order and then when the plate was ready she served it in a very rude way, hitting it on the table, and leaving as if I made a crime and she was punishing me for that. One might think that she was very busy but the restaurant only had few customers, literally 4 customers including me! I cannot understand why would someone behave in this way knowing that such attitude is very harmful to the business. To add, the order was not accurate. I ordered the colorful dumplings that shows in many pictures on the google reviews. She served all the dumplings Green!! It would not be an issue if she was not rude. But rudeness + wrong order!!! I did not comment on any of that. However, to be honest, the dumplings are fresh but lack taste. Maybe the dish I ordered was not very good anyway. And i am sure they have better dishes. Nevertheless I would not try them as I am not ready to pay 7.90 Euro to be treated like a prisoner in the prison canteen. I ate my dumplings quietly, payed the bill and left with a decision to NEVER...

We have been to Ledu numerous times in a couple of their locations including this one. We have been to many of their other restaurants like Choi, Seen and so on. We have bought our dog with us almost every time to this location and others and it’s never been a problem.

Today we decide to go here for lunch and walked 15 mins to get there. We passed many a good locations for lunch along the way but had made up our mind to go here. When we got there the rude waitress told us that dogs were not allowed in gastronomy and that we could not come and sit inside, despite being less than half full. She just stood in the corner and spoke to us and when I mentioned that I had been there many times with our dog, she just stood there. I also informed her that there was nothing in the door of the restaurant or their website that mentioned that dogs are not allowed here.

Considering that just last week we were at SERN with our dog, found this behavior appalling and would never recommend this place again. No need to put up with rude behavior for some dumplings. Plenty of choices...
