Theresa Grill Restaurant — Restaurant in Munich

This was back in mid-May. We were the first ones to arrive for dinner and had free choice for seating, so we chose the outside dining which has a different flair compared to inside, but still nice (and quieter)! Although we did take a while to decide what to order, the restaurant was still not yet busy, but it took almost an hour before our food arrived. The presentation of the steak was quite sad and lonely on the huge plate. I ordered medium rare, and some of the steak was mostly cooked medium, some parts even closer to medium well, which was a bit disappointing. But I didn't want to send the steak back because I don't like wasting. But the taste of the meat in general was still really nice! Also, we asked for butter when the steaks arrived. And again, since the restaurant wasn't that busy, we thought it would arrive soon after, but we were more than halfway finished by the time it was delivered, but that was our fault for forgetting to ask for it when ordering. Overall had a great meal with friendly service, but could have been even better. I also really have to praise the playlist of that night which was basically one of my Spotify...

Theresa Grill came highly recommended and the dishes I read about online sounded oh-so-delicious! I couldn’t wait to go there and indulge. The food was good but not for the prices we paid. The vibe was a bit dull, no music and the crowd was full of oldies.

As for the food:

Beef tartar: absolute perfection and nicely presented, it arrived on a board with the ingredients in glass jars, which they then mixed in a wooden bowl in front of us. The theatrics certainly added a bit of oomph and the quality of the dish was 10/10 Ox broth: very good and heart wearming, specially on a cold winter day, this was just what we needed, light but full of flavours Cod: highly enjoyable Rib Eye 5 weeks dry aged: a bit whatever, nothing to write home about, this dish was a bit of a disappointment

I would definitely go back if I happened to be hungry and in the direct neighbourhood but I wouldn’t go out of my way to dine there. I do think that we made a mistake in the mains we ordered since everything else was quite good, so I would go back but not order any of their steak dishes, which is slightly ironic since it is known to be...

I called to book a table ant the manager told me to come at 20:30, wait in the entrance drinking something and sit in the table at 21:15. When we arrived he acted surprise and told me he'd told me to come at 21:30, not 20:30. I told him it was 21:15 and he admitted it and assured me we'd have the table at that time. We waited 45 minutes in the bar. After that, we went to the restaurant again and the manager told me he hadn't forgotten me and that he'd give us our table in a second. We waited 50 minutes sitting in a sofa. When we finally sat, no one gave us the menu and, after 20 minutes waiting, I had to ask the manager for it. We ordered and the food took more than 30 minutes so we run out of patience and decided to leave. A waiter came to tell us with a very hostile attitude that it was normal that we had to wait that long. After arguing with him he recognised how bad the service had been and we left. It's been a very disappointing and umpleasant experience and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. A very bad service for such...
