Fünf Höfe is a shopping mall and a good spot for a bit of shopping and dining in the heart of the Old Town in Munich.

During our visit, we popped into Vapiano for a quick lunch in between sightseeing endeavours in the area. This was a good, fit for purpose meal. Other eateries and coffee shop we found at Fünf Höfe looked inviting as well.

Wha we probably enjoyed most however would be the architectural design of the property. There is a 'hanging garden' of plants and glass ceilings which gives the mall a more open, natural feel. It is refreshing experience compared to traditional indoor shopping malls and something that would likely have brought us back if we had something similar...

Our dining experience was greatly disappointing. The tables were filthy, with food particles still visible even after being cleaned. We were forced to eat at a table that was clearly not up to standard. The service was extremely slow, and the staff seemed uninterested in providing adequate service. While the food itself was satisfactory, the overall presentation and cleanliness of the restaurant were unacceptable. It's a shame that such a nice meal was ruined by such poor service...
