Having a doner in every city I go to has been a tradition I’ve had since 2005. I don’t usually review places unless I find them to be really good. I ran into this place accidentally a couple of years ago when my GPS couldn’t figure out how to get me to Oktoberfest. This is one of the better places I’ve been too. I make it a point to stop by whenever I’m in Munich. This one time I went out of my way after landing in MUC with my entire family on our way to Nuremberg Christmas markets—and that was after flying in from Tokyo. My son, a fookeeng picky eater has asked me to bring him here and has been getting a doner with everything. Eigentlich hatte ich nur kurz Hunger und mittags ist ja Döner eine schnelle und gute Lösung.

Beim Betreten des Restaurants war es erstmal wie jeder andere Dönerladen. Aufgrund meiner Unschlüssigkeit fragte ich den Dönerverkaufsspezialisten hinter der Theke nach seiner Empfehlung: Döner oder Dürüm? Mir wurde vollmundig und ohne zu zögern der Döner empfohlen als bester der Stadt. Trotz meiner aufkeimenden Skepsis habe ich mich auf die Empfehlung eingelassen.

Erste große positive Überraschung war, dass der Dönerverkaufsspezialist die Soße zuerst ins Brot gemacht hat bevor er die anderen Zutaten hinzugab. Dieser kleine, aber feine Unterschied für Dönerkenner ist entscheidend für ein außerordentliches Geschmackserlebnis.

Nach meinem ersten Bissen in die gefüllte Brottasche schoss mein inneres Bewertungsbarometer von ursprünglich 3 Sterne aufgrund des Ambientes auf grandiose 5 Sterne.

Der Döner überzeugt mit seiner Einfachheit und seiner ausgewogenen Geschmackskomposition erlesener Soßen und frischen Zutaten. Ich komme wieder! Esst Döner...

Yum!! We accidentally found this place one day in a desperate need for some food. Luckily we had cash on hand (need to learn in Germany cash=king) and so thankful we stopped here. We don't speak German but the guy serving us (I believe he was the owner) was really helpful and friendly... and the kebabs were super yum! Will come back...
