Munich doesn’t offer many authentic bubble tea places, and this one is pretty average.
🔹 Atmosphere: The place has a modern, minimalist vibe with Nordic decor, but it’s super tiny, only a few seats by the window. Nothing special.
🔹 Service: It’s run by Vietnamese staff, but the menu has Chinese on it also, but be careful no one speaks Chinese. The girl seemed kinda unfriendly on the first day, she looked annoyed when we greeted her in Chinese and said they didn’t speak it, then took our order coldly. The guy working the next day was nicer, but changing the sugar levels was a hassle since some drinks couldn’t be customized. At least they make the drinks pretty fast.
🧋 Drinks Review:
✅ Jasmine Green Tea Just the ordinary jasmine tea. It’s refreshing when it’s ice-cold in the summer.
⭕ Brown Sugar Brûlée Milk Tea The signature "Brûlée" was pretty disappointing—mostly just milky, lacking in flavor. A medium size is enough, anything bigger feels way too heavy. The only way to reduce the sweetness was to ask for less pearls. Honestly, a hot cocoa would’ve hit the spot more.
⭕ Brown Sugar Taro Milk Tea Not a fan of taro, so I skipped this. My friend said it was just okay.
💡 Tips: There’s a Chinese menu, but they don’t speak Chinese. The drinks are quite sweet—ask about sugar adjustments (some can’t...
Read moreI've always enjoyed the drink here and have been there several times - Never had bad experience until today.
I came in with my baby and toddler and politely ordered a large drink #1 with extra tapioca just like usual - the lady who took my order was extremely impatient and asked me brown sugar Tapioca or normal tapioca for the extra one.
I was then confused as never before I was asked to choose between the two types there and wonder what were the differences as I did not want to order something colourful and filled with syrups then I clarified if it is the black tapioca - I asked politely before even finishing my sentence I was interrupted and got a replied " ja ja ja they are both black, which one do you want? the normal one is like with normal sugar" she shrugged and also rolled her eyes. It was super rude of her and I didn't want to argue there and cause a scene in front of my children. But it really left a bad taste in my mouth.
I come from Taiwan and I know the bubble tea culture, never ever I was treated like I was so stupid and asked such simple questions. Not a good way to represent the Taiwanese culture...
Read moreTHE ABSOLUTE BEST BUBBLE TEA IN MUNICH. I used to drink bubble tea everyday back in my hometown where there are many bubble tea stores to choose from, so i would consider myself quite an expert.
I’ve also had too many a cup of classic bubble milk tea in Munich. This is by far the best bubble tea i’ve had, and I will only be drinking the alley from now on. The pearls were soft, chewy and bouncy. The milk tea was fragrant and not too sweet (in my world, that is one of the biggest compliments you can give to desserts).
The cup transported me back to my hometown - we also do have The alley back there but I had never tried it but now I will definitely reach for it when I head back home.
Just order the large because you can definitely finish...
