Ballabeni Icecream Stammhaus — Restaurant in Munich

We passed by the Ballabeni on Theresienstraße recently after having two great visits to the Ballabeni Werkstatt earlier in the week. There was a long queue formed outside the parlour when we arrived. That is usually a good sign when it comes to finding good food. Happy to report that the ice-cream here was just as good as their other parlour.

During this visit we very much enjoyed the dark chocolate, pistachio and caramel amaretto flavours, all of which were smooth, creamy and very flavourful. The dark chocolate and pistachio were special, very very good flavours that we'd be happy to eat regularly if we lived in the area.

In the end, Ballabeni was one of he very best foods that we found during our recent holiday. This is a place we will go out of our way to return to the next time we find...

It is one of the must-see places of Munich, and one of the best ice creams I have ever had. Various choices taste really good and intense (relative to what you would expect from an ice cream), so for example the mango scope really tastes like mango. This adds to the fact that they also offer some experimental and strange choices (like olive and something), and you can test these tastes each time free of charge. Additionally, they rotate their offering on a daily routine, so basically each time you will get something new and fresh.

There is usually a line, and not much place to sit, although it is surrounded by parks and museums with beautiful green areas if you do not mind to sit...

Below average ice cream, limited flavors, tastes just like most other gelato in Munich, less flavorful in fact, as in it is good everywhere in Munich but here. The single star is mostly for the attitude of some of the folks in there, which is more special than the ice cream itself, acting like they are doing you a favor taking your money and giving you the ice cream, especially the middle eastern girl. Hundreds of places in Munich for really good Gelato, much much better for lesser price or same price but much larger quantity, I will definitely not go here again, it does not feel welcoming or...
