TOTTORI — Restaurant in Nuremberg

Had dinner with a company of three people. Initial service was okay, we were served our drinks quite quickly but our food took longer to arrive. Our "vorspiesen" took about 20 minutes to arrive, and the main course took about an hour before it arrived. We were served one at a time, so we could not start eating at the same time. We noticed the sushi was served way quicker, so be prepared to wait for your food if you order any hot main dishes like ramen, surf n' turf or the chef's choice. The food was good, but not spectacular.

Our biggest issue was when it came to payment. Apparently, they did not accept mastercard, which was stated neither on the menu nor the website. Since we carried no cash, and no one in our company had a Visa-card, I had to rush to the nearest ATM to withdraw cash. Turned a quite pleasant evening into a very stressful one. Sadly, we shall not...

We had a delightful culinary experience in Nürnberg.

While sushi is the highlight, Tottori also offers other Japanese dishes, including grilled options and some unique creations like salads, appetizers, takoyaki, and gyoza. The surf & turf beef steak was very delicious 👍

Overall, Tottori Japanese Restaurant is a fantastic choice for anyone seeking high-quality and authentic Japanese cuisine.

Schön aber schön ist leider nicht genug.

Ambiente ist sehr angenehm, fürs Auge Mega. Torii am Eingang ist beeindruckend. Viel Platz zum sitzen, sowohl draußen als auch innen.

Essen ist sehr schön eingerichtet aber leider geschmacklich langweilig. Man könnte für niedrigeren Preis das selbe woanders bekommen. Sehr schade. Wir hatten als Vorspeise : Tom yum Suppe (nicht japanisch aber geschmacklich gut) Takoyaki ( innen schön weich, außen knusprig, leider die oktopus Stücke zu „kauig“) Gyoza (lecker) Karaage (sehr enttäuschend, ein Stück Fleisch geschnitten in Streifen, zu trocken, karaage sind normalerweise kleine einzeln frittierte Stücke die innen sehr saftig sind) Tofu in dashi ( langweilig im Geschmack) Hauptspeise : Maki mix ( ziemlich gut) Geisha Menü ( war ok, nigiri sehr lecker, die Rollen mit lachshaut viel zu salzig und die california Rolls haben wir auf Wunsch nicht mit schrimp sondern mit anderen Fisch bestellt, leider haben wir dann ganz ohne Fisch bekommen) Donburi sake don ( war gut aber irgendwie klein)

Im ganzen war es nicht schlecht aber auch nicht gut. Preisleidtung stimmt für mich nicht. Für kleineres Geld kann ich genauso wo anders essen, manchmal...
