Finca & Bar Celona Nürnberg — Restaurant in Nuremberg

Only giving two stars for this establishment. Went there quite late in the evening for a drink. The drinks were really good but the "kindergarten" behind the counter unfortunately not very well suited for servicing grown-ups. The worst thing about this part was that a young girl (waitress) kept bugging me if "I wanted to pay now" which I had neither requested nor did I look like since I was busy with my half-full cocktail. It was close to closing-time but NOT even close enough so that I couldn't take care of a single bill within one minute! After having ordered two - not exactly cheap drinks - I assume that they knew here was a customer that was into leaving some cash behind, possibly even more than that. But no..., after just 10 minutes and well ahead of closing-time she came bugging me again saying "I need to finish my balance for tonight" which - again - could have been done in merely a minute! After paying her I went to the toilet and on my way back while she was STILL running around doing a zillion things she could have done before she had me pay the bill, I advised her a bit on customer-service and that the same do not appreciate being put under pressure from a waitress for paying the bill since a) that creates a bad mood and b) the customer assumes that they either do not think you are able to pay the bill or want to run from it! In both cases the likelihood of people returning to enjoy food or drinks here instead of across the bridge in one of the other myriad places that hopefully understand what customer-service is, will be close to zero. I live in the Netherlands and thus have a very good idea what bad service and bad food is. This is the first restaurant in Germany, and I visited many places there, which can match Dutch restaurants in both categories. My family and I went there on a very hot evening. The interior is not airconditioned. The bar is very understaffed, which makes the service so slow, we had to wait 15 minutes for the waitress to ask us what we wanted to drink. When they brought us our food it didn't improve anything. This place can be rated high only if your standard of good food is McDonald's. We had burgers and a tuna salad. The burgers were below average, average quality meat, bacon not crispy, overloaded with ketchup and mayo. Fries really bad, McDonald's level. My wife's tuna salad was boring, too much carrots and way too much vinegar. I don't want to say the staff there are lazy. It was hot and too many people. But I simply can't give it more than one star because it was so bad that I will never go there again, and I will never go to any Cafe & Bar Celona in any other...

Breakfast on Thursday 21st August 2025. A lovely location in Nürnberg Old Town, down by the riverside.

Buffet breakfast ordered by all 4 visitors. Very good value for money (orange juice included but paid for bottled water) and a great selection of hot and cold food. Outside seating by the river availed of. Appeared to be quite a few locals having brealfast, which is usually a good sign.

Very nice young waitress served us. We paid separately and were each asked if we would like our change, which I found a little odd, as some of the change was around €8 from €30 but this must be a thing in this particular restaurant.

Drinks were a little slow to arrive as we had already started eating. Had to ask for them to be brought out. Would have been 5 stars for service but for this, as it wasn't really busy.

Very minor issues. Would give 4.5 stars.

We tipped regardless, for good service from our waitress.

Second time using Finca Bar Celona, Nürnberg and will definitely visit for breakfast again on...
