Frittenwerk Oberhausen CentrO — Restaurant in Oberhausen

It taste okay. Me and my boyfriend try this place last week. We order the Classic Quebec Poutine with garlic fries and Thai Peanut meatballs with normal fries. In our opinion we taste a better Poutine, the sause and the cheese is not 'Poutine' enough for us. And the garlic fries in the poutine is a definitely a wrong choice. We like garlic but this taste very strong garlic that make the combination taste off. And also your mouth and breath taste like garlic the hole day, so beware of the garlic fries if you don't like garlic or on your first date hoping to kiss. The Thai Peanut Meatballs it taste also okay, but if you ask will I ever order again, no. Maybe I have high expectations of what peanut sauce taste like, this just taste like strong lime with peanut crunchy. If you know the famous Dutch peanut sauce this is far far away from it. And the meatballs also taste very lime and weird that we can't describe what it taste, in the end with heavy heart we decided not to eat all the meatballs, we feel very bad throwing it but we can't eat it. Maybe the other menu is better and taste good, but it's not that bad because they have a very modest and cozy place that you can hangout in the Centro with friends because they have big tables and chairs for groups. However some other customers not so good at cleaning their table after they finish eating so be prepared it's not like always clean and I don't see any staff who going around checking and clean the table that's just empty. They also support environment friendly because I don't see any plastic products that they use. For drinks are come in their original bottles so no plastic cup, it's very good. The waiting for the food I think it is normal waiting time, I think they will fried the fries when we order so it's not like they always have ready fries and just add sauce because the fries was freshly hot. This is not a restaurant — it’s straight-up fraud. I placed an order yesterday at around 15:40 through Lieferando. The restaurant took my money instantly — €30.05 to be exact, order number FMKQBP — and then disappeared off the face of the earth. No delivery. No message. No call. Nothing. Just dead silence.

I waited well over an hour. Tried contacting the restaurant — no answer. Tried calling — no response. It’s like they either don’t exist or they just don’t give a damn. Either way, it’s a complete scam. They happily take your money, never show up, and offer zero accountability.

What kind of business operates like this? You don’t take someone’s money, leave them hungry in the middle of the day, and then go ghost. This isn’t bad service — this is deliberate. This is theft dressed up as a food service.

Honestly, Lieferando should be ashamed for allowing places like this on their platform. If you’re reading this and thinking of ordering — don’t. Don’t waste your time, your money, or your patience on these clowns. They’re not running a restaurant. They’re running a joke.

Knusprige Pommes wären schön gewesen!

Ich habe Pulled Pork bestellt, war anfangs etwas skeptisch, ob die Pommes nicht aufweichen, weil das Fleisch auf den Pommes serviert wird, aber dachte noch ganz optimistisch, dass die ihre Gerichte schon getestet haben werden. Offensichtlich ist das aber nicht der Fall oder man geht davon aus, dass alle Kunden nur matschige Pommes wollen.

Die Pommes waren komplett mit Fleisch und Salat (mit Soße) abgedeckt. Das Pulled Pork bedeckt die eine Hälfte der Pommes und ist auch eher eine durchgehende Masse vermengt mit einer Soße, wo oben nochmal eine andere Soße drauf kommt. Das Fleisch an sich sieht man in dieser Masse fast gar nicht mehr, definitiv anders, als ich sonst Pulled Pork kenne. Die Pommes unter dem Pulled Pork waren komplett aufgeweicht.

Die andere Hälfte der Pommes ist abgedeckt mit Salat mit massenhaft Soße, so dass die Pommes unter dem Salat ebenfalls komplett aufgeweicht und kalt sind. Aufgeweichte Pommes und Salat bekommt man kaum getrennt, so dass man auf dieser Seite erstmal immer Pommes mit Salat isst.

Ich hatte noch die Hoffnung, dass irgendwo unten in der Schale noch ein paar knusprige Pommes zu finden wären, aber leider steht die Schale unten voll mit der Salatsoße, so dass die Pommes dort ebenfalls komplett aufgeweicht sind.

Kurz zusammengefasst: Man bekommt eine Schale voll Matsche, mit etwas Salat oben drauf: Pulled Pork mit den Soßen ist nur eine durchgehende Matsche, die Pommes sind oben eine aus Pulled-Pork-Soße und Salatsoße bestehende Matsche und die Pommes unten schwimmen in Salatsoße und sind ebenfalls nur Matsche.

Meine Frau hatte Currywurst und Pommes, auch dort war die Currywurst mit Soße komplett über die Pommes verteilt und alles schwamm in Soße, so dass sie auch nur matschige Pommes in Soße hatte. Bei der Mayo hat sie sich nur gefragt, wofür sie die gekauft hatte, da sie auch nicht eine einzelne Pommes, die nicht bereits in Currysoße aufgeweicht gewesen wäre, hätte mit Mayo essen können.

Ich hätte eigentlich erwartet, dass man bei dem Namen Frittenwerk und der Werbung für die frischen Pommes Wert darauf legen würde, gute knusprige Pommes zu servieren, aber das scheint bei der Art alle Beilagen mit Soßen auf die Pommes zu stapeln nicht möglich zu sein und sollte Frittenwerk auch selbst klar sein. Bei dem Pulled Pork war ich skeptisch, dachte aber noch, dass es funktionieren könnte, wenn halbwegs trockenes Fleisch nur an einer Seite liegt, aber den Salat hätte ich nicht erwartet und erst Rest nicht, dass alle Pommes in Salatsoße schwimmen. Wahrscheinlich möchte Frittenwerk sich so mehrere einzelne oder ein größeres Schälchen für die einzelnen Gerichte sparen, wobei denen klar sein müsste, dass man knusprige Pommes schlecht mit Salat bedecken und Salatsoße übergießen kann, ohne dass die Pommes dadurch kalt und matschig werden.

Es ist also eher nur was für die Leute, die gerne matschige in Soße aufgeweichte Pommes essen. Wer frische knusprige Pommes möchte, ist...
