They have Flamingos!!! Title: Unexpected Gem with Feathered Friends We recently held a business meeting at this restaurant, tucked next to the main road and a railway track, a location that honestly had us adjusting our expectations downward. However, this unexpected gem completely exceeded those preconceived notions and delivered a fantastic experience! First and foremost, the food was stellar. The portions were just right - not overly generous to the point of waste, but enough to satiate. The flavors were spot-on, and it was evident that the ingredients were of high quality, possibly sourced from fair trade suppliers and not just cheap supermarket deals. Adding to the overall delightful experience was our ever-vigilant waiter, who maintained a refreshing balance between professionalism and humor. Unlike at some other places where the staff can be elusive, our server was consistently present, always ready to lend a hand, and ensured the meeting went smoothly. The promptness of the service was remarkable, with the dishes arriving within a reasonable time frame of 15-20 minutes. And despite the fact that our server was working alone, everyone received their meals almost simultaneously, with a negligible 30-second gap between servings. It's worth noting that the server handles several plates at once, so patience is appreciated. Now, onto the unexpected highlight of our visit - the flamingos! Yes, you read that right, this restaurant hosts three delightful flamingos. It adds an unexpected charm to the place and a unique touch that you wouldn't find elsewhere. But please, if you visit with children, instruct them to respect these beautiful creatures. The flamingos tend to keep their distance, staying around 5 meters away from people. Let's respect their space and ensure they are not unnecessarily disturbed or chased around. In conclusion, this restaurant proves that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover (or in this case, a restaurant by its exterior). From the delicious food to the efficient service and the flamingos - it's an experience you don't want to miss! And yes, even though the pizza with pineapple was excellent, the flamingos steal the show!

We sat outside and, despite dropping in only for a quick cocktail, decided on a couple of appetizers. My darling bride had the tomato bisque and I the carpaccio. Thumbs up all around! The bisque was lively and well-textured and the fresh tomatoes, lemon wedges, and cut peppers gave the carpaccio such a bold and flavorful extra dimension. Best carpaccio I have ever had, and I travel to Italy often. I think that says something. Good stuff all around, great views, and friendly staff. A wonderful little diversion on a lazy Saturday walk thru the shopping district in Saarbrücken. Cin-Cin! 🍸

Very good lasagna, very friendly staff. I was there on a warm summer day on their huge terrace, but on wet days they also have a huge indoor space. Payment by card is accepted. Certainly try the desserts, the sorbets are served in a very original way! Only downside in Corona-times: in our few days in the Saar region, this is the only place where there were menus on the table, where we didn't have to register our visit, it was just like the virus wasn't there, somewhat sharp contrast with all other restaurants.

Frechheit!
