bona'me — Restaurant in Stuttgart

Staff was really nice and friendly. Our main courses were delicious - will definitely return to try other choices! They looked exactly like the pictures in the menu and were really fresh. Entree (a selection of various items) was not as nicely arranged as seen on the online menu, but still delicious. There are many diverse seating options, so wether you're alone, a pair or in a group, you definitely will find enough space (from family table, high chairs, cozy niche with seating cushions or sofa corner, every taste will be served). I was disappointed by my milk coffee - which was a really bitter coffee with a milk foam on top (that's just not milk coffee). Also not a fan of the organisation in the restaurant. There are no menus on display or on the tables, you have to check their website or use the ordering terminals at the bar or kitchen area to pick your choice. If you're not a group but alone or in a pair that's somewhat uncozy, since one person has to guard the stuff at the table. Also was very disappointed that the "bona'rone" is not available in Stuttgart - could not order this dessert since it's not known of at the bar and not included in the menu at the ordering terminals (but is included in the menu on their website). One of the best Turkish restaurants in the Stuttgart Mitte area. I really love the atmosphere here. It is pretty cool to visit during summers. The food varities available are really good. I had the Bevti Tavuklu, which is nothing but durum bread filled with chicken breast pieces and vegetables topped with some yummy sauces. We also tried the Vegetarian Meal option, it comes with a bread and different types of hummus and sauces with salad. We also had the dessert which was like a rice pudding with milk. It was amazing and is a must try here. They have a separate vegetarian menu also. The service system is also quite unique. They give you a RFID tag when you enter the restaurant. There are many terminals where you place this RFID tag and select the dishes you want. Once you have made the selection you can go and take your seat along with the RFID tag and wait for the RFID tag to vibrate which indicates that your order is ready...

Honestly I was a bit turned off by the bad reviews before I decided to try this restaurant. I must say I was so surprised that it deserved a review. The staff was welcoming and took the care to find an English speaking person to help me. I was explained how the system worked and I rushed to try the food. The dishes were absolutely delicious and were ready very fast - many vegetarian options. The drink was also amazing - I tried the homemade iced tea. The dishes are so well served that I took home a considerable amount of it. Certainly recommend. I only took 1 star because the digital menu can be a bit confusing when you are not familiar with the dishes. Some choices were made merely by the good looking pictures. But...
