Updated on June 25, 2025 Yesterday I went to my favorite store again in Stuttgart. This time I ordered apple cinnamon for eat in and maple walnut for to go. I have to say that I was disappointed about the quality of the cinnamon rolls. I took the bites and noticed that there were filled of open crumbs, unlike the usual texture with small, tightly packed air pockets. I strongly believe that this had to do with the warm temperature in summer that impacted the fermentation process. I just hope that the experienced baker should be able to fix the problem, not letting the customers down. Btw, the maple walnut eat at home was the same, filled with lots of open crumbs. Pls refers to 2 recent photos of the dissected roll. After a long searching of cinnamon roll in Germany, finally got to taste the roll that's so amazing delicious. Soft, moist but not too fluffy texture, caramelized cinnamon was not too sweet, perfect ratio between the dough and sauce. 5 * for the roll. Cappuccino was OK, I like the roast beans they're using, personally found the milk foam was a bit fluid, and it got cold quickly. 3.5* for the drink I ordered. Service: friendly staffs at counter. 5* Ambience was nice, nothing special and worth to be mentioned. Unfortunately not so many tables indoor available. However there were an area with wooden bench and a few wooden blocks along the window allow guests to sit and place food and drink. Although the weather was so nice, but I couldn't sit outside because it was too sunny and without...

This is a bakery & cafe is a popular Schnecken specialist at Rotebühlplatz. We arrived just after opening and found a small queue formed into the shop already.

In addition to schnecken (sweet rolls with a variety of flavour), they make a nice range of other pastries, buns and breads as well. We tried the Apple Cinnamon Schnecke that was perfectly baked and tasted great.

Would have returned to the queue to order another for take-away had the line not been so long by the time we left. Coffee orders were ok.

Will gladly return to Zeit Für Brot for schnecken when we encounter their branches elsewhere...

Very smooth coffee with great texture but little flavor. The Zimtschecke with apple and almond was excellent. Moist, soft, lots of fruit and almond. Quite filling. Also the maple and walnut Schnecke was superb. The best I ever had.
