Pizza Punto IT - Wiesbaden — Restaurant in Wiesbaden

A month ago we found this place and it has become one of our favourites. It became a ritual to come here at least once a week and enjoy various meals. The food is really impeccable and the staff was friendly until today. Usually we come to eat, but this time we came only to enjoy their souffle and cappuccino. The waitress came and after we placed a order, she told us that people usually come here to eat and if we want to order only that, we should relocate to a cafeteria next to them and have it there. I have no idea what was the problem, but when I told her we usually come here to eat and don’t understand why it would be a problem bcs THEIR menu offers that souffle, she told me in a really rude way that we ate there only once, which is not true at all. The place was not crowded at all, so many tables were free at the time and we felt like she was trying to drive us away. After a tough day at work, I really wanted to go there, enjoy the atmosphere and if it means having a souffle and a cappuccino, it is because we really love it there. Next time it would be something more. I have never felt so embarrassed. We recommended this place to all our friends and they all went there. After this, we will never go there again. I am sorry for the situation and I hope this will be the last time they treat their customers like this. All their staff has always been friendly and polite, this was a lady with black/brown hair, tattoo on her arm and the glasses. My husband and I have visited and stayed in Weisbaden many times over the last 10 years, and returning to Pizza Punto IT for pizza is always an absolute must for us. During our recent stay in Weisbaden this July/August, we had the privilege of dining in at the restaurant at least 2/3 times every week for a month. We loved and totally enjoyed every single experience there, and were always looking forward to our next visit. The restaurant has been beautifully renovated over the years, and is always kept extremely clean. The pizza is always absolutely delicious, and on the recommendation of the staff, we tried the apple streusel with ice cream dessert, and it was also absolutely delicious! The staff are very professional, yet very friendly and kind, and always smiling. The two ladies and gentleman who always served us (you know who you are) were very pleasant and a big reason why we kept returning there. Thank you so much! On our last visit there, we had the opportunity to meet the manager/owner and shared with him our thoughts and feelings about the restaurant, the service and staff, and the food. In a short summary, we told him to keep doing what he's doing to run the place because it's truly an amazing place to have amazing pizza, and that it just keeps getting better and better! One of the best pizzas in Germany, among the two or three good ones I have had here, ever. Not only was the pizza—topped with mostly farm fresh veggies—delicious, the nearly perfectly baked ‘tasteful’ bread remains soft even after the food cools down. Staff are friendly, speak good English and the location in Wiesbaden-Stadtmitte, directly opposite the Marktplatz near Dernsches Gelände, is great. Service was fast on both the occasions that I ordered takeaways there. Albeit it has to be noted that the kitchen was mostly relaxed due to COVID-19.

For context: Much of the pizza scene in Germany is an utter disaster with tasteless bases and unappetising toppings.

What I would love to see improve are the number of vegetarian offerings. Although with the two variants they do offer, I don’t have much to complain. Marking vegetarian/vegan items would also be helpful.
