UPDATED: Since we were once regular customers here, after months of skipping going back to them following the rude behaviour of their delivery staff as described below, today (18.06.2020) we decided to give it a try again. Once again they forgot to include an item – one Naan/Rice this time. The Palak Paneer was average at best, Broccoli-Kohl was probably not good because our son who used to love that dish didn’t eat more than a few bites (ended the night on eating toast as supplement). The one included Naan was cold, hard and not tasty. They used to have good Naan.
After spending nearly 50 € for a small mid-week treat on a tired evening, we were left with wanting for more. Result? We will probably never return to them. I can cook everything we order there myself (including fresh paneer), so the moment the food experience feels like a money drain, it’s better to probably just get some frozen food from the supermarket. New rating: Down to 2 from 3 stars.
Note: The delivery dude was grumpy again...
Previously posted review follows: — For the lack of a better alternative we have been ordering home deliveries here. While food is average to taste (not really Indian), it ‘goes’ in the sheer lack of authentic Indian food otherwise. We’ve had the occasional stale food as well. However, generally it’s fresh. Service is typically quite fast. On a couple of occasions they forgot to bring the dessert. The first time (my guess is it was the owner who delivered on that occasion) he was kind enough to go back and bring the missing dessert. The second time was today.
So they have a new delivery man who has delivered our past few orders. We’ve switched apartments meanwhile, so on this occasion he couldn’t find our place. I walked out to fetch the delivery, and upon ‘politely’ telling him where to find his way next time, he rudely said, ‘Next time write a note to go there and not here’. It was overlooked. Then we realized that the dessert was missing. My wife called up the restaurant and the friendly fellow on the phone arranged to deliver the dessert. The obnoxious delivery man came back and sat in his car (he never tried to come to our front door this time having known where it was) telling my wife (on the phone) how, apparently, I was rude to him. After another episode of rudeness he ‘dangerously sped away’ in his car.
Recently we had been ordering 2-3 times a month from this restaurant. Regrettably after this episode we will most certainly not order for the foreseeable future. Because of one man’s bad attitude our dinner was destroyed obviously. Friendly fellow on the phone: Sorry, but we can’t tolerate unprofessional, unfriendly, rude behaviour of your staff for your food.
A quick review summary objectively looking at food alone: It’s probably the best in Wiesbaden. Nonetheless, it’s hardly...
Read moreOur family was fortunate enough to find Singh's originally through the lieferando app. Speedy delivery service and great food were what we found with our first order of butter murgh, traditional and garlic naan, and mango lassi. After a few orders, the delivery man brought a pamphlet and told us the store suggested ordering off their website to save some money. This new ordering method was easy and saved us probably 4€-5€.
Then we started ordering for pickup. We met the folks at the store and they were very welcoming and friendly, even welcoming us in with our new born. They let us sit at a table with our baby and wait for the food to be cooked and packaged. They checked in with us and, once the food was ready, put everything in a nice, strong bag, and helped us out.
Tonight, we decided to eat in with our (now) 5-month-old baby. The interior decoration is beautiful, well lit, and with many fascinating sights. We were delighted to eat in our favorite Indian restaurant and were, naturally, greeted by the man behind the greatness himself. He seated us, made small talk, took our orders, then walked away. The food came quick and was delicious. At the beginning of our meal, our son started to have a small fit and needed to be rocked while one of us stood up at the dinner table. Our host came over and offered to hold our baby and walk him through the kitchen so we could eat our meal in piece. Our baby immediately calmed down in his arms and this man was an absolute natural wonderful person. He had our baby smiling and laughing, interested in everything there was to see. It was the first meal we really had in piece since he was born and we are extremely grateful.
You can order take out or delivery from here for the excellent quality. You can go inside the restaurant for the atmosphere, wonderful service, and tasty food! However, the greatest reason to patronage this restaurant is because the people are genuine, care about their customers, and put their love, soul, and effort into every piece of their business. This was already our favorite place in Wiesbaden for food, but now it's at a whole new level. Thank you for a...
Read moreI don't usually write a review for delivery food on Google review, but they deserve a shout-out! I ordered Lamb Tikka Masala and my partner ordered Murgh Korma, both extra spicy. It was a legit level of spiciness and lived up to the expectation. The flavors were bursting, and the quality and portion were worth the price! We also ordered Paneer Naan and Rasmalai, and my goodness, were they such a pleasurable experience (first time discovering Rasmalai)! My partner and I were surprised we never notice the restaurant before, considering the many times we have been in that area also for food. We have decided to visit them to have the dishes fresh because if they could serve them at such quality through delivery, the freshly served dishes must be much better! Can't wait to try them out at their restaurant! Very highly...
