My friends and I had a swell time at CafeClair! We were immediately met with pleasant ambience and a warm reception from the staff. We chose this place for our brunch and it was the perfect spot both geographically and aesthetically. We had their tuna sandwich and stuffed croissants which surprisingly came with a side salad, I personally ordered the brie croissant, it tasted fresh and the blueberry jam gave it the right amount of tartness (if that’s something you like) without being overpowering. Naomi was our waitress for the day and she was very attentive and helpful, she had good amount of knowledge about their menu and was able to even make us recommendations. My only issue is I wish they’d serve breakfast a little longer into the day. After our meal, we had a visit from Ewoenam which was pleasant surprise; she asked about their service and if we had any trouble. I’d say you don’t always get such good service from restaurants in Accra, I hope they continue being mindful of their customers and complaints and don’t stop after sometime...
Read moreCafé Claire definitely stands out for its beautiful, aesthetic setup. It’s a really nice spot if you’re into taking pictures or just want to relax in a cozy, modern space. The ambiance, decor, and overall vibe are impressive, and it’s clear they’ve put thought into making the place visually appealing.
That said, the food didn’t quite live up to the setting. We ordered the lamb shank, but it was a bit too tough and lacked the rich flavor you’d expect from such a dish. The seasoning felt a little underwhelming, and overall, the taste didn’t quite justify the presentation or the price. I’d probably rate the food around a 5/10 not terrible, but definitely room for improvement.
If you’re visiting for the atmosphere or a casual hangout spot, Café Claire is a great choice. But if you’re going mainly for the food, I’d say lower your expectations a bit. Hopefully, they can work on improving the menu because the...
Read moreThe food was amazing, however I asked to pack the rest to go and they only packed one half of my sandwich which they mixed up with someone else's and they didn't even include my salad. It was a bad idea to let them take my plate to the kitchen to package my food because they had no idea what they were doing, I should have asked for a box to be brought to me, so I could do it myself. I basically got half of my food packed, I have no idea what they did with the other half. Staff should also be mindful of saliva flying out of their mouth when speaking at a table, aside from the awful service, the food itself was great. The bathroom arrangement for a place of this caliber isn't great, I think male and female washrooms should be distinct, a lady customer, corner eyeing my husband followed him to the washroom to try to get his attention. We will only be doing...
