The Honeysuckle Pub & Restaurant- East Legon — Restaurant in Accra

If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. I came to the Honeysuckle Pub & restaurant located in East Legon by A&C shopping mall and ordered the beer battered fish and chips. They initially said it would take 20 mins for the food to be ready but actually took closer to 40 mins.

As you can see in the video, the fish is mushy and is still pink. I took the food back to the restaurant and they told me this pink uncooked fish is how fish and chips is made and wouldn’t give me a refund. The lady who took my order and the chef who prepared my food had the audacity to ask me if I know what fish and chips were and were smirking and chuckling at me while I showed them the uncooked fish.

This was the worst dining experience I’ve had in this city from the low quality of food to poor lack of customer service. We sadly won’t be coming back. This will be my first and last time

Dec. 19th update: Management reached out stating I should contact them in order to “make it up to me”. So I contacted the number provided on Dec. 6th and explained again what occurred. Today is Dec 19th and I still haven’t heard back from management. Looks like they blocked me on WhatsApp since the last few messages only show one check meaning the messages were sent and not received. I’m only providing this update because a number of people have reached out to me asking for an update from management and sad to say not much has transpired since. Seems like the restaurant issues stem from the top of management down to the rest of the people there.

The place was very lively and not so full... The waitresses were very attentive and helpful in explaining the menus to us. The food is oh! Amazing! Delicious! I ordered the jollof with grilled chicken and it was so flavorful! Very seasoned and spicy! I loved it! The mojito's blew my mind...very minty fresh and lemony. I also ordered the sweet potato fries with wet spicy chicken wings and oh my gosh! I'm hooked!

You need to try this Wet chicken wings!! The sauteed vegetables take it to the next level! It's so delicious and mouth watering! The prices are a tiny bit on the higher side but, the food is great!! The food is always great! I love honeysuckle. The ambiance at night is so enticing... karaoke nights are by far the best programs in Accra!! Come one, come...
