Fugo Bar And Restaurant — Restaurant in Accra

I have been planning for long to check this venue and it became a no-go place. I went there a Sunday afternoon. Ordered lamb chops and a White Russian cocktail. The lamb chops with yam was microwaved. When I complained about that the manager on duty has accepted my complain. (I was offered to chose anything else, but I refused it. I did not want to get meal that not fresh). The ridiculous part was the cocktail I ordered. I had a Black Russian that was supposed to be Vodka, Kahlua and half-half (or cream). The drink looked funny so I asked them how did they make the drink. They server me Kahlua, Bailey's and whipped cream... Bailey's?? Whipped cream?? No vodka in White Russian?? Funny fact, that the ingredients of that drink were correct on the drink menu. I paid and left without finishing either my meal or my drink. The place is not for a relaxing afternoon, bu a night out. I guess it is easier to serve patrons like...

Update: I got in touch with the restaurant manager and he worked it all out in no time, there was probably a communication issue between staff and that can happen. I changed my review to 5 stars because the place is lovely and technical issues can happen.

The place was actually okay but when it came for us to pay I wanted to do it with card. The first POS Terminal kept processing after i entered my pin so they found a new one and promised me the other one wouldn’t charge anything. I wanted proof from them that I could get my money back if they charged twice so I got a phone number. A few days later I look at my account and can see they actually charged me twice and they are not possible to reach at all. The place and service is great but if you pay with card I wouldn’t recommend going there.

Music: The music between Luxe and Coco Vanilla is connected and they have a DJ just at the entrance of the two places

Food: Haven’t tried the food yet

Sanitation: Good sanitation, however, the small booths weren’t attended to after previous customers left (rearranging the cushions)

Security: They have a bouncer and All persons and packages are subject to search upon entry (failure to consent or submit to inspection will result in denial of entry)

Something interesting: Surprisingly Luxe is actually the Night Club and Coco Vanilla is the restaurant and sitting area, they will start taking a gate fee from next week (info from staff). The two places are actually one.

Staff: So far the only person who sort of explained a lot was Wilson, very friendly guy, it’s easy to identify the waiters...
