Alou Yialou — Restaurant in Argostoli Municipality

The problem about this place is a guy who is working there. His attitude and way of behaving gave us the feeling to stay away. Even when we were spending money there he was thinking that he was the Police of Kefalonia. He always started arguing with people and this with no reason, very good in saying why things are not possible in life. It was quite the opposite feeling thad we had of 3 weeks of Kefalonia, where we met people who became family to us because of their lovely and warm hearts. Amazing restaurant with a big wooden terrace on the beach, very nicely decorated. They also offer sunbeds for free if you order anything. About breakfast here: they are incredible! Plenty of choice at an unbeatable price. We went there almost everyday during our holidays to get the "healthy breakfast" (which included fruit salad, 2 home made cereal and dry fruit bars, Greek yogurt with honey and nuts as well as 1 fresh pressed orange juice and tea for 5€!).

The staff was super friendly, Dennis always had a cheerful comment and a big smile to welcome his guests.

At the moment they are doing some renovation of the terrace, which makes it look even nicer.

I am a regular customer and I come every year to Katelios. The first restaurant I go to is Alou Yialou. Favourite restaurant by far with the BEST Waffles in the WORLD! They are my favourite food. There is also an incredibly wide variety of ice creams as shown in the photos (My favourite is the cookie crunch or cookies and cream). In terms of the Savory options, again a huge variety including the pita club sandwhich shown. All the options are incredibly delicious and if you are going to Katelios, this is a MUST.
