Floridita cafe - coctail - house — Restaurant in Argostoli Municipality

Visited beautiful Katelios for a few days recently and (almost) without exception received a welcome we’d not experienced elsewhere. We enjoyed sitting in Floridita relaxed just watching the sea but one evening we sat inside watching the birds in and out of their nests … sadly on this occasion a rather silly barman (ponytail) thought he’d play a trick on us :( we’d politely asked if he could put on something besides reggae on a loop, his response ‘it’s reggae night’ (it must be reggae night everyday in that case). Anyway he said he’d look, what would we like? We like anything just not on a loop - anyway grinning he put on a swearing rap track (presuming we would be offended and leave?). Of course he wasn’t to know I work with teens so swearing doesn’t phase me at all. We chose to spend our money elsewhere the rest of our holiday and noticed the reggae continued as we passed by to drink...

I want people to know how despicable the owners of this place are. They're hiring vulnerable girls from abroad and they're abusing them, they treat them like slaves. I left the place on the 3rd day, but the other girls, who are vulnerable and insecure, stayed there and bear the abuse and embarrassment every day. Outrageous. Extortionate Prices. The most expensive place to drink in Katelios. €7 for a draught beer but worse still €5 for a Diet Coke !! It’s a complete rip off.
