Morning Star Katelios — Restaurant in Argostoli Municipality

We have known Maike and her beautiful family for many years and we have always enjoyed our visits to this taverna..formerly Katelios taverna and now named morning star. Always a lovely welcome from all of the staff...a lovely and chilled out atmosphere in which to enjoy excellent food and excellent service.i cannot understand the two previous reviewers unfair and untrue comments which incidentally sound like they were written in tandem to be spiteful and to try and damage the reputation of this authentic taverna. This taverna is a great choice to enjoy a lovely and pleasant meal and the service is always a welcoming one. We have enjoyed many meals here over many years and have enjoyed every one. A peaceful location overlooking the ocean with views across to Zante..we never feel rushed and the experience is always a special one. we wholeheartedly recommend this wonderful and friendly taverna. Fresh cooked food...obliging staff and an owner who goes out of her way for you. Thank you Maike...your a true star..see you next...

Looks can be deceptive, the restaurant wasn't the busiest in the resort, but don't follow the crowd!

Evening meal, sat by the beach, with the Moonlight, perfect holiday vibes.

Food was superb. Had mussels that compared and exceeded those had in Smiths at Wapping last week! So tasty, my husband said best he has ever had!

I had stuffed tomatoes/peppers, really good, tasty & juicy.

Lovely Rose` wine to wash it down.

Staff very friendly & attentive. The friendly lady owner coming around to tables to check all well.

After a makeover and change of name, we thought we would try it. With a lovely view and so much potential, the food was not good. Everything was a bit sloppy and undercooked from the oven and greasy/overly oily from the grill/ frier. The owner is friendly and kind but is let down by the kitchen. There are a number of better options along the front for views...
