I recently discovered a hidden gem of a Chinese breakfast spot in Athens' Chinatown, and I couldn't be more thrilled. With its small storefront and limited seating, it reminded me of the authentic and unassuming Chinese breakfast places I grew up with.
The best part? The food here is incredibly affordable. Living in NYC, I have easy access to authentic Chinese cuisine, but finding 豆腐脑 (tofu pudding) and 小笼包 (steamed bun with meat) for just €3.8 is a rare treat. With food prices skyrocketing in the city, this small Greek Chinese breakfast spot brings back childhood memories while keeping prices within reach.
The taste of the dishes transported me back to my childhood, evoking a sense of nostalgia that I hadn't experienced in a while. It's a delightful journey through flavors that I thought I could only find in faraway places in China.
If you're looking to indulge in a delicious and affordable Chinese breakfast, this spot is an absolute must-visit. It's a humble place that stays true to its roots, reminding us of the simple pleasures and comforting flavors that make...
Read moreWARNING, DO NOT GO! The service is extremely horrible, the worst experience ever in the whole trip in the Greece!
NO COURTESY at all for the ugly female boss! No smile, no active friendly explanations. She doesn't care if you go there. No farewell at all. Being ridiculously rude as a restaurant runner.
The hygiene condition is as bad as you can image. Flies everywhere. A total mess in the cooking area. All the tables and walls are oily and stinky.
You can not stay there after meal, the boss doesn't welcome you at all. While in other local restaurants, owner always smile and offer you piece of watermelon 🍉 for dessert, etc.
Overall, ugly owner, horrible service, worst hygiene, un-environmental friendly plastic tableware!
It...

The food is good ! The beef noodle soup was great and we loved the marbled egg. The salted duck was too strong for our taste and the steamed dumplings were good.
However, I’m giving a lower rating because we felt like we had experienced a lack in friendliness and service compared to other customers. We are not Chinese and do not speak Chinese and perhaps this is why we were asked for our order last despite waiting at a table there, before other customers. The vibes were .... definitely uncomfortable and off but if you can look past that and some stand offish and slightly rude service, give...
