Koulouri Bake House — Restaurant in Athens

Where do I even begin? You absolutely must visit this place! During a family trip, while staying at an Airbnb, we stumbled upon this charming coffee and koulouri spot, and it quickly became a highlight of our time in Athens.

The koulouri was simply outstanding, and their specialty coffees were just as delightful. But what really set this place apart was the warm and welcoming staff, who spoke English fluently—a definite bonus for us!

A special mention goes to the owners, Niko and Milto, who went above and beyond by offering us invaluable directions and recommendations for exploring Athens. Their kindness and local insights truly made our visit memorable.

Great pastries, great coffee! Very good quality! Also the service is very friendly and efficient. It‘s therefore super disappointing that the place does not use real plates and cups. It‘s wasting lots of paper and plastic instead, even if you want to consume on the spot. This is such a shame and really not up to date anymore. Seriously, such a shame! Have been visiting this bake house for small treats / takeaway coffees for the last 4/5 days. Always had really friendly service, with great bakery items and takeaway coffees. Picked up some nice olive tapenade and feta sandwich also which was great.
