We decided to have a dinner here after seeing so many positive reviews and because we are fans of a well cooked piece of meat. The place was pretty busy still the waitress managed to get us a table quite fast. We enjoyed the warm atmosphere and the decoration so We only ordered the spicy chicken wings as we wanted to have a snack and enjoy a few rounds of drinks before ordering further. It took some time to order and much longer before our drinks got ready but that's understandable since it was busy. In fact the chicken wings were ready, sitting on the bar, well before our drinks got ready but that's ok too. Unfortunately, when we had the first bite, the shock was big. The crust was a bit over done, while the inside was watery and the chicken skin was soft and oily. What did us though, was the hot sauce taste and flavor , which absolutely reeked and every cell of my body screamed I should not easy it.I asked a bit of sauce separately just to make sure I got it right and that the smell was coming of the sauce, and sure it did. I really don't know what it was, but both of us are seasoned hot sauce eaters and this was the worst hot sauce we ever had by far. After the first wing we could barely continue and decided to remove the sauce with napkins and most of the crust with it. Thank God we had some of our own sauce with us, which we used and managed to almost eat the wings. In the end we left the place and look somewhere else to have a dinner. We really wanted to enjoy some nice brisket , but I doubt we will be going back and give it...

This place is out of this planet and beyond any expectations.
At first I was like, come on... An authentic American restaurant in Athens/Greece? And then I was laughing... As I lived in New York for more than 10 years, it was difficult for me to believe that the authentic American food could be reproduced outside American borders... But little I knew....
As soon as I entered the place, I immediately felt like I was back in New York. The smells, the music, the decoration, the people, everything was exactly as I if I was back to my beloved city...
And then the food came... BOOM! OH MY GOD! Maybe the best smoked meat I have ever tasted! I mean these people know exactly what they are doing! And they seem to really love it! Both the lady at the service and the guys at the kitchen visited us and talked to us like they were friends of ours. They helped us go through the menu and to decide what to order, a plate with all the meats the place has to offer, a Ceaser's salad with smoked turkey and authentic American french fries! Well done here! A huge applause! Everything perfectly prepared.
It was so interesting watching the chef working with the meat, behind the bar! He looked like he was "making" love to it and this meant a lot to me...
At the end we order fantastic desert! It was balls of fried dough with vanilla ice-cream, sugar powder and melted chocolate. To be honest, I had the same dish in New Orleans some years ago.
Overall, a fantastic experience!
I am definitely...
Read moreDining at Po’ Boys BBQ is an experience I won’t soon forget — much like food poisoning or stepping on a LEGO. I came in hoping for “Real American Food” and left with “Real Existential Doubt.”
The “Truffle Mac ‘n’ Cheese” promised truffle, but I think the only mushrooms present were hallucinogenic, given the illusion that this was worth €10.50. The “Pulled Pork Nachos” arrived with all the enthusiasm of a wet handshake, topped with something that vaguely resembled meat and cheese but tasted like regret.
And let’s not forget the “Triple Knockout” burger — triple the patties, triple the disappointment. Each layer was stacked not with flavor but with the kind of culinary apathy you only find in places where frozen food meets broken dreams. The “Crackling Eggs & Fries” were a philosophical journey into what happens when brunch gives up on itself entirely.
But what truly defines Po’ Boys isn’t the food — it’s the owner’s performance art in the Google reviews section. Witnessing a grown man dedicate his emotional energy to roasting disappointed customers is, in a way, more American than anything on the menu.
To the owner: I hope you someday find the peace you so publicly lack. Until then, your replies remain the most seasoned thing in your...
