Rainbow Metal Club — Restaurant in Athens

I'm writing this as a metalhead from Turkey. While Istanbul has many metal bars, there's nothing quite like Rainbow Metal Club in terms of atmosphere and concept. In Istanbul, most places either focus on live music or just play metal quietly in the background. But at Rainbow, there are multiple screens (including a big one) constantly playing metal music videos and live performances.

During my one-week stay in Athens, I came here several times — had beers, listened to and watched metal. Even if you go alone, you'll still enjoy yourself, because there's always something worth watching — some of the best metal clips and concerts.

As a metal fan and singer, this is one of the best metal bars I’ve been to in the world. We’ve been visiting this bar for the past 4 years and it never disappoints. They have a strong playlists of all metal genres, including deep cuts and underground songs (not just your typical hard rock and glam as seen in most rock bars). There have themed nights with specific playlists based on metal genres and even offers metal karaoke on occasion. They have a wild variety of beers, including band beers like Motörhead’s and Iron Maiden. Be advised, like most bars in Greece smoking is allowed indoors. Well,the place is amazing. Even if you are in the rock's or just plain metal or even if you don't even listen to metal, you have to visit this club.It has a great shaped space with many huge screens, you can play pool while listening to all kinds of metal from 80s till now, different tributes almost every two days and one of the best things is beer,lots of it. The waiting staff is in another level. Friendly, polite and they are serving in the speed of light, I mean nothing like this have we seen before.
