Shisan Sushi Bar — Restaurant in Athens

Good food, TERRIBLE service. They either hate tourists there or we were just unlucky, but we had to wait 10 minutes to order even though they saw we were ready, they just stood there and ignored us. Food was coming in a small and separate portions with a long break in between even though we ordered together at the same time. We could see the staff standing aside and talking about us and making jokes between each other while looking at us. It did really seem like it was something personal against us, since they served other tables and locals in more respectful way. They wouldn't clean up the empty plates in between the portions and carried our food on the same tray next to the empty dirty plates from the other tables. A friend suggested we give this place a try because it had a Sunday all-you-can-eat-buffet for 18€ so I thought I'd give it a try. I hadn't had sushi in a while so why not. The place is small but neat in downtown Athens so be aware that parking might be an issue. As far as the buffet, it was just ok. All of us at the table had the same feeling when we left: the sushi variety simply wasn't good enough for the money paid. It wasn't bad, taste-wise, but it was the kind you'd serve someone new to the cuisine and sashimi or nigiri were nowhere to be found. Very good both vegetarian and salmon, quit light, healthy and tasty. I usually been here many times especially when I had been tired after the food I was refreshed. In summer the sitting arrangement is Fantastic but for winters little cold and windy. ONLY this this time was little was the manager is little rude , maybe she doesn't have that well customer welcoming attitude, maybe little not respectful towards other nationals. Waiter and waitress are excellent though,I been visiting here more often due to excellent food and great service by waiter and waitress , If you have brown skin better avoid the lady manager working at this sushi bar.
