Koukouvaya Desserts — Restaurant in Athens

Absolutely amazing desserts with various options. Loads of extras you can add and the staff is very polite and informative. I went here with my son. I had a walnut dessert which was amazing. Not to sweet but very filling. My son had a chocolate with ice cream. He also enjoyed it very much. Absolute must try if you like special desserts.

We even went back a second time and this time we tried a new dessert. The staff was again very kind. One member even let him pick out a mug as a gift. I ordered a lemon dessert which was very refreshing. My son ordered the apple pie. This also looked and tasted amazing. Can recommend going here when you goto Athens.

And yes, we went back for a third visit. This time we picked something new from the menu. Erasmia is a orange, chocolate and cream dessert. With a mousse bottom. Absolutely amazing. My son had the Ekmek Kadayif. My advice is take every part of the layers in the glass. The combination is the key. And of course I had the iced Latte, also great. Greece take their coffee...

I will start by saying the location is superb since it's conveniently close to the underground but pleasantly secluded from the hustle and bustle of Monastiraki.

We faced a difficult decision when selecting a dessert (each option was mouthwatering), but eventually we settled for the Walnut Cake (Karidopita) and the cafeteria's specialty Zoumero (moist chocolate cake), both served with Vanilla ice-cream.

The prices were a bit high but they were totally justifiable after we were served the desserts. The serving sizes were huge (we managed to devour them entirely). In terms of flavour Zoumero struck the ideal harmony as a chocolate treat and Karidopita was absolutely divine.

Also the decor was really unique. Who doesn't love owls. Beautiful creatures.

My husband and I love this place! We first had it while visiting Chania and we’re so happy to see one open near us in Athens. We take our friends here any chance we get. We absolutely love the Igloo dessert. We recently have been suggesting the Pyramid to others as well. Those two are our favorites, and everyone we’ve ever brought here has loved it. The decor isn’t as Owl-like at this location but it is still a nice & spacious place to hang out. My husband and I order here from Wolt at least once a month. The igloo is something we catch ourselves craving!...
