Ramen and a Burger are my go to eat everyday dishes so I was really excited washing down all of the 2 euros gyros with some of my favorite food. I must say I was disappointed, I saw the low review but early to date reviews said that the food is great so I gave it a try. Ramen is based on: Noodles, Broth, tare, aroma oil and toppings. So we have to rate it by that. Start with Noodles: I got a lot of noodles which was a plus but compared to the amount of broth it overtook the soup, the noodles themselves were average, a bit bulky but good. Toppings were good you got all of the classics in addition to extras like mushrooms etc. I got the chicken which hasn’t felt like it was marinated pre cooking in my opinion since it was a bit tasteless but compared to the whole dish it gave flavor. The broth and tare come hand in hand to create a soup, the soup was way too weak, even trying to taste it separately didn’t help. Again I don’t claim to know what rhetorical process of making it but it seems like they need to let the broth cook longer with stronger flavor profile and add 3 times the amount of tare. Lastly aroma oil, feels like they didn’t bother to add any because I couldn’t feel it in the taste, tho I could see some kind if oil but then again it could be from the broth or tare.
I added chili oil from an almost empty bottle that was on the table which kind of helped
And can’t forget about the people, the server was very unpleased to see us. Had a grim face on her and the mood was on edge a bit. I have to give it as a cook in restaurants some days are bad days so I cant really judge, but you should read and compare with others to see if it’s a constant problem.
The atmosphere was anime japanese/western point of japanese with anime OTP music which was a bit of fun.
The Gyoza with chicken was a bit dry could use some dipping sauce on the...
Read moreI've been to the other restaurant of the same name in monastiraki many times and it was ok. Today me and my boyfriend decided to go to this one instead and it was a choice we would soon regret... The first red flag was that when the waitress came, she basically told us that half of the menu was unavailable. After we ordered two of the few available plates, we were unpleasantly surprised. The spicy miso beef ramen I ordered came with some of the ingredients missing. My boyfriend tried to confront the staff about it. However, they argued that they had worn us beforehand, when they clearly hadn't, and that there was nothing they could do. On top of that, they insisted we pay full price and didn't even apologise once. The rest of the food wasn't good either Definitely wouldn't...
Read moreAll looks, no substance. It really was less than so-so. I don’t like to give bad reviews but the lack of care or response to our genuine complaint was very disappointing . I ate the vegan ramen here and it was so, so bland, honestly just like brown water. I took the dish back and asked for some more flavour. It came back a salt-bomb, no apology no care to check up on us. The veggies weren’t fresh and the amount of tofu extremely meagre. The noodles were the cheap style wheat based ones. No one checked if we were happy at any time and there no apologies about the bad meal when we paid. The boss just shrugged and dismissed us. Definitely do not recommend- you guys really need to work on hospitality and flavourful vegan dishes. It just felt like a bad tourist trap - not...
