One day after a dinner in a 4.4 greek restaurant, on a main street of tourism, we aimed at a secondary street located restaurant and found Trikyklo! From the doorstep could feel the difference: calm neighborhood, well arranged dinning spaces, comfortable tables and seats. Attentive service welcomed us, dishes started serving in an acceptable schedule. Taste? No place to compare woth yesterday!! 🤩 Portions were large enough to share with five. , besides ta Moussaka meal we enjoyed a Greek salad, a plate of mixed grill for 2 persons, turned more than enough for five persons besides to salad, moussaka, and chicken breast. What a difference compared to yesterday’s, with today’s “only” 4.5 stars. Savory, large portions, excellent quality, got easily ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ grade. Will visit again before we leave back home.

My wife and I were looking for a place to have dinner and since she is nine months pregnant, dining in a restaurant where smoking is allowed was out of the question. After talking on the phone, the staff assured us that there is a non smoking room in the restaurant and we booked a table. We were very pleasantly surprised to find out that there was absolutely no trace of smoke in the non smoking area (unfortunately rather rare in local restaurants in Greece). The staff was very polite and helpful and the interior decoration warm and cozy. The food was great and the overall pricing low. On the plus side, they serve dessert after you finish your meal. I would definitely revisit. Congratulations to the owners and staff for maintaining such high quality services.

Wonderful local neighbourhood Greek Taverna. This is hidden away but definitely worth seeking out for amazing food, delightful service and good prices. When we arrived, there were a few people milling around waiting for it to open which we took as a positive sign. We were greeted by the owner and were served by friendly waitresses all of whom spoke excellent English. We had a fresh salad followed by stuffed mushrooms and baked eggplant with feta which were to die for. Along with a very pleasant carafe of the house red, the bill was surprisingly reasonable. They even gave us delicious dessert on the house. This is definitely a place you should not miss on your trip to Athens. We are very glad we found it and will definitely be returning!

Loved the ambience of the restaurant, very tranquil and warm lightings, makes you feel like as if you're dining in someone else's home. Food tastes great too. Their greek salad is superb, you can feel the freshness of the veggies, and with the Greekness of the Feta Cheese is the cherry-on-top. Their Moussaka is a must try too. The sauce is very milky and cheesy, combined with layers of minced beef and potatoes and eggplants, which delivers a very ample texture. Servings are sumptuous and I felt bloated after finishing the food (I'm a big eater, and I believe what I've ordered should be sufficient for servings of 2 persons.) The waitress (whom I believe is the boss, i think) was very kind and welcoming. Not only she patiently introduced the dishes to me, she also happens to be kind enough to offer me a free sample of traditional Greek desserts after I completed the meal. It's my very first time here in Greece, and my first restaurant dining experience in Athens, and I felt so pampered and being taken good care of while dining here. Can't wait to be here next time, hopefully in the near future. Will definitely recommend this restaurant to my family and friends whenever they have any future plans to...

This was one of our favorite restaurants in our 3 1/2 months in Athens. Sadly, everything shut down due to the coronavirus a week after we got here, so we had to wait almost three months to go again! We made the most of these last three weeks and ate at least two meals and a snack here again. The food is Greek comfort food, but not the food we know from our Greek restaurants in the US. Try the Pork Bites with 12 spices, the stuffed red onion, the veal with red sauce and eggplant. The tzatziki here is amazing and the owner told us it is because the yogurt is from sheep and goat milk. Absolutely delicious! The owner and his wife, Elsa, are very welcoming and made us feel at home the moment we walked in that first day. The ambience is charming, sitting outside under the trees is a treat. The restaurant is on a pedestrian zone "street" so a very quiet area to watch our neighbors go by. Highly...
