Gastronomic Excellence and Impeccable Hospitality at Iniohos, Delphi We have just completed our visit to Delphi, and our stay at the Iniohos Hotel was an experience that exceeded all expectations. The hotel is excellent, perfectly clean, and the staff is extremely kind. However, what truly elevated our stay was the dining experience at the L'Aurige Delfi Restaurant. Sommelier Christoforos is a high caliber professional and the key person behind the absolute success of our dinner. With astonishing fluency in communicating in English and French, he not only served us flawlessly but guided us on an unforgettable culinary journey. Christoforos suggested a fantastic steak, cooked to perfection, followed by an excellent wine tasting, recommending a wonderful wine that harmonized beautifully with our dish. His knowledge and methodology as a sommelier were truly impressive. Beyond the meal, Christoforos was incredibly helpful, providing us with valuable, personal advice for touring Delphi, pointing out places of interest that we would not easily find on our own. Congratulations to t he Iniohos team a nd especially to Sommelier Christoforos. The L'Aurige Delfi Restaurant is a destination in itself. We wholeheartedly recommend it for a complete experience of culture and high end gastronomy.

Came here for early dinner as we wanted to catch the sunset. We can see why this place is rated 4.9 stars. The food and service were lovely. We ordered the bread with dip, vegan moussaka and seafood linguine. The multigrain bread (baked in house) paired well with their red pepper cream cheese and the olive oil. The vegan moussaka was hearty and tasty, they use almond milk for the béchamel and soy as the protein. The seafood linguine was fresh, with shrimps, mussels and clams all caught from the Corinthian Gulf. The pasta sauce was light and flavourful. It was also prepared (de-shelled) table side which was nice. Portions were plenty for us. At the end they brought us mastika as a digestif (on the house!). Sweet and woody. Christopher was a great host and talked a little bit about some of the surrounding towns while we were taking pictures of the beautiful sunset. He also explained the daily fish (also from the Corinthian) and menu very well, which was a nice touch. We definitely enjoyed our evening there and would come back if we’re ever in Delphi again.

L’Aurige is a true gem nestled in the breathtaking landscape of Delphi, where mountain meets sea in perfect harmony. The “Earth and Sky” dish perfectly captured this balance — marinated anchovies paired with a velvety dill-infused taramasalata, accented by delicate slices of cucumber and carrot. The salad, with cherry tomatoes, barley rusk, olives, and exceptional olive oil, was generously portioned and bursting with flavor. Their homemade multigrain bread was especially delicious and a perfect complement to the meal. The Assyrtiko “Alba Vissa” wine stood out as one of the finest I’ve tasted this year — highly recommend ordering the full bottle. For the main course, the barley risotto with fish fillet was impeccably prepared, and the profiterole dessert concluded the meal on a sublime note. The name “L’Aurige” (The Charioteer) is truly fitting, as the entire experience is expertly guided by a talented chef, attentive service, a knowledgeable sommelier, and the dedicated owner who leads this culinary voyage with care.

I want to give this a one star because it's rare I have to leave the restaurant, but the rest of the people in our group enjoyed the food so it'll get a three star.

We looked at the menu outside and it looked like there were a ton of great options. We came in at 3:45pm so a little early for dinner late for lunch. Either way we were seated and given "lunch" menus. Word of caution, the lunch menu is NOTHING like the menu outside. Completely different.

Ok... I'll find something to eat. I have a food allergy that makes finding safe food items difficult. So I go through the menu and find the one item that looks safe. I run to the bathroom and come back to find that the other outside menu is dinner and they're not serving it AND the item from the lunch menu is not available (fried calzone).

I walked out.

My advice, put the correct menu outside for the correct time period and swap them when the menu/meal changes. I wouldn't have gone in and we wouldn't have stopped if the menu was correct. Several people in our group wanted other items from the main menu and had to settle for something else. I had no option so I left. Two other people left as well without being able to order what they wanted.

The rest of the food was apparently good so I can't in good conscience knock this place down to a one star review. The inside atmosphere looked great. Very pleasant. Only one or two other occupied tables out of a dozen or so. Bet this place has amazing food for dinner (several items on there I would...

Came here with my daughter (16) after a day around Delphi. It really is worth venturing further into town and supporting local businesses as the buses come and go and the town misses out.

The view from out the back was stunning and worth it alone just to sit with a good one but the service was second to none and the food delicious, fresh and served beautifully.

The owner spoke several languages fluently including English, French and of course Greek, I suspect no doubt he probably speakers German, Spanish, Italian and a whole host of other languages given how he easily he switched from one to the other.

The wine list was fabulous, lots of local wines as well as those from around the world to choose from and lovely ambiance. This place should be busier than it is. There was a steady flow but I suspect people don’t walk this far into town or just hop on buses straight back to Athens which is a shame.

The wild boar pappardelle was delicious and cooked perfectly, the rooster with gnocchi in a red wine sauce was beautiful. Perfect sized portions as didn’t feel the need for more.

We received a complimentary strawberry liqueur each, but as daughters wasn’t of age they gave her a lovely strawberry jelly instead!!

I highly recommend taking the walk further into the town and supporting the local businesses when in Delphi rather than just busing it straight in and out.

A beautiful experience, wonderful host, stunning food and views, great value for money, all round...
