Kima — Restaurant in Lefkada Municipality

We were attracted by the excellent reviews and decided to go for dinner. The restaurant was full but they found us a table for 2. Great. So we sat and waited FOREVER for someone to even come and bring us some bread and water, not to mention to take our order. Finally, a guy comes and takes our order. After what seems like an eternity, our food arrives. Unfortunately, only one of us gets his food. I thought “OK, mine will arrive soon”. So I told my partner to start eating, otherwise the food would get cold. Then I asked another waitress about my order and she told me it was coming right away. Well, 50 minutes passed (not exaggerating) before my food arrived. In the meantime, it was almost midnight, my partner had already finished eating and I was no longer hungry. They apologized before I even said anything (so obviously they realized what had happened and acknowledged their mistake, which I appreciated) and told me that if I didn’t want it they could take it back. I said yes and asked for the check. And surprise: there it was, the food I didn’t get to eat! I had to call the waitress again and show her that there was a mistake. She obviously apologized again. We left, hungry and disappointed. Maybe it was just a bad day? Who knows. But I’m not willing to come back a second time...

Not one to leave reviews often but we were very surprised to have a very disappointing experience after reading positive things online. My partners food (chicken with halloumi) was nice enough but nothing special. My calamari was nothing better than poor - extremely chewy and genuinely inedible. We were sat just inside (perhaps the issue was we weren’t sat on the terrace) which made it all the more insulting when waiters would come past us up and down looking extremely lost, not once asking how we were or paying attention to the fact we clearly weren’t enjoying the food. Would have given it 1 star but for my partner’s food and the fact they knocked 15 euros off (after a little negotiation) for the poor experience. Perhaps just a one off bad experience but I would...

Wait time for food was lengthy - only reason I’m mentioning it is because of the kids having to wait for their dinner. Good was expensive and the menu was misleading. We have to ask about prices and we were told that they were in fact different (good thing we had locals with us). Food was bland at best, however it was presented really well. Interesting on how different the experiences are, however we have had caught them between lunch and dinner preps. Would I go again? No, after Exploring there are some better options...
